I am in South Korea now. President Moon and I have “toasted” our new Trade Deal, a far better one for us than that which it replaced. Today I will visit with, and speak to, our Troops – and also go to the the DMZ (long planned). My meeting with President Moon went very well!

….again with China as our relationship with them continues to be a very good one. The quality of the transaction is far more important to me than speed. I am in no hurry, but things look very good! There will be no reduction in the Tariffs currently being charged to China.

James Alex Fields Jr., 22, the Ohio man who drove his car into a crowd of counter-protestors at the “Unite the Right Rally” on Aug. 12, 2017, killing one woman and injuring dozens, was sentenced today in the Western District of Virginia to life in prison for his crimes. Fields previously pleaded guilty to 29 violations of the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, 18 U.S.C. § 249, for the attack.

“Hatred and bigotry have no place in our nation. Violent actions inspired by such warped thinking are a disgrace to our people and our values, and the Department of Justice will not tolerate such depraved acts,” said Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband. “Prosecuting hate crimes and acts of domestic terrorism continues to be a top priority for the Department of Justice. Anyone who commits a crime motivated by hatred for the race, color, religion, national origin or other protected trait of any person should be on notice: the United States government will use its enormous power to bring perpetrators to justice, and we will continue to do so for as long as it takes to rid our nation of these vile and monstrous crimes.”

At his plea hearing on March 27, Fields admitted under oath that he drove into the crowd of counter-protestors because of the actual and perceived race, color, national origin, and religion of its members. He further admitted that his actions killed Heather Heyer, and that he intended to kill the other victims he struck and injured with his car in the crowd.

President Trump and China’s Xi Jinping’s negotiations on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in Osaka have been described by the “Fake News” media as a breakthrough in the trade war, but the two leaders only agreed to no further escalation in hostilities, and only on a temporary basis, with no rolling back of the tariffs back and no clear path to end the dispute.

The real price of the war is that American firms and consumers were slapped with the 25 per cent on $US250 billion worth of Chinese imports, amid growing evidence the existing measures are already hurting.

As Mr. Trump noted, just prior to his much celebrated meeting with Mr Xi, America would triumph because China’s economy was “going down the tubes”.

He’s partially correct, since Chinese manufacturing is contracting with a wide scale downturn reported in some industries, such as automobile manufacturing where tens of thousands of workers have been laid off in recent months.

Texas Representative Dan Crenshaw slammed Google after watchdog group Project Veritas reported that the company’s employees branded conservative political commentators Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro, and Dennis Prager as “Nazis”.

“Two of three of these people are Jewish, very religious Jews, and yet you think they’re Nazis. It begs the questions: What kind of education do people at Google have so they think that religious Jews are Nazis? [..] It’s pretty disturbing. Do you believe in hate speech? How do you define that? Can you give me a quick definition right now? Is it written down somewhere at Google?” Crenshaw asked a Google executive during a House hearing.

Crenshaw said that if “Big Tech” calls people “Nazis”, one can make the argument that’s inciting violence, based on a leaked email from Google employees disabling certain features for conservative YouTube users they label “Nazis”, amid the company being been hit with allegations of political bias.
