2…………> Hurricane Florence: The Day After

After President  Trump declared a disaster in North Carolina where hurricane Florence’s top sustained winds weakened to 50mph (80km/h), but still left a trail death and destruction behind, killing seven people and further catastrophic flash flooding.

Some towns have already had over 2ft of rain, and forecasters warn that totals could hit 3.5ft. Nearly a million householders have no electricity in the Carolinas, as President Trump’s disaster declaration for eight North Carolina counties freed up federal funding including grants for property repairs and low-cost loans to cover uninsured losses.

3…………> Records Of A Violent Hurricane: Social Media

Hurricane Florence might have been downgraded to a category one storm, but it hasn’t become less deadly, carrying some 18 trillion gallons of water with it and has already started unleashing it on city streets in North Carolina.

The situation was further worsened by the fact that the storm had lost its speed before reaching land, allowing it to accumulate more water, which it is set to let loose on North Carolina, traveling through it at 5 miles per hour. According to the Weather Channel, the expected flooding in the state could range from 3 feet to 9 feet and presented a chilling visualization of how dangerous such a flood could be.

5…………> MS-13 Ring Busted: Fresno

A federal grand jury in Fresno, California returned a five-count indictment yesterday against 16 members and associates of La Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), with the defendants charged with assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering (two counts); conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana; and being an alien in possession of a firearm (two counts).

According to the complaint and indictment, the defendants were allegedly members of MS-13 operating in Mendota and Los Angeles, engaging in racketeering activity, including murder, kidnapping, extortion, and drug trafficking. Its members span the nation and are active internationally as well. The charges allege that in May 2018, Denis Barrera-Palma and Edgar Torres-Amador assaulted another individual with a dangerous weapon in furtherance of MS-13 and to gain entrance to, or maintain or increase their status within, MS-13. They further allege that in August 2018, Lorenzo Amador assaulted another individual with a dangerous weapon in furtherance of MS-13 and to gain entrance to, or maintain or increase his status within, MS-13. The charges also allege that all defendants, except Amador-Torres, engaged in a conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana.

Those proceeds would then allegedly be used for a variety of purposes, including funding trips to obtain drugs or commit acts of violence, putting money on the books of incarcerated MS-13 members, sending cash to MS-13 members in El Salvador, and getting more narcotics to sell.

Over 1,150 @FEMA Urban Search and Rescue personnel are integrated with state & local teams in NC, SC, & VA to help with rescues after #Florence. The teams came from all over the country this week, traveling long distances with equipment & K-9 partners to arrive before the storm.

    2…………> “Crushing Blow”: Florence
Five people have been killed as Florence mauls the US East Coast, knocking out power for hundreds of thousands of homes and downing trees, despite a  downgrade from a hurricane to a tropical storm with life-threatening storm surges.
Winds of up to 70mph (110km/h) are also expected for several days as the weather system slowly grinds over forcing evacuation warnings for 1.7 million people in the area.
The storm initially made landfall at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, on Friday morning as a category one hurricane, but it remains hazardous because of the risks posed by catastrophic flooding. Some parts of North Carolina have already seen surges as high as 10ft in places.

    3…………> Ready For War: Russia
With 300,000 soldiers, more than 1,000 planes, helicopters and UAVs, 36,000 tanks, and 80 naval ships Russia is showing off its military might in the largest-ever war games in the country’s history, backed up by Chinese and Mongolian troops with President Xi Jinping in attendance alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The Russian authorities are confident that after 2020, the probability of conflicts associated with a struggle for a living space will increase dramatically, which is reflected in the Plan of Defense of the Russian Federation until 2020. First of all, it will be a war for resources, and Russia has a lot of them, so the Russian authorities expect that the country to be attacked from all sides and because of that strengthen all lines of defenses,”
Russian military observer Pavel Felgenhauer told Anadolu Agency.
    .
    .
    .
4…………> Trump Cranks The Pressure: China
The U.S. will slap a new $200 billion in tariffs on Chinese imports, a move that reignites a trade war between the world’s two largest economies as President Trump met with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer.
Trump’s decision to impose the additional tariffs come despite signals from Washington earlier this week to restart trade negotiations with Beijing. White House chief economic adviser Larry Kudlow confirmed Wednesday that Mnuchin extended an invite to Chinese officials for a new round of talks.
Trump said Thursday via Twitter: “We are under no pressure to make a deal with China, they are under pressure to make a deal with us. Our markets are surging; theirs are collapsing. We will soon be taking in Billions in Tariffs & making products at home.”
    .
    .
    .
    5…………> Market Report 09/14/2018, sell stop 25950, CG(12,302), 11/22/17
Extended position at 24400, sell stop 25400 for a gain of 1000 DIA points closed. Short post established at 25380, covering short at 25300 for an increase of 80 DIA points. New position extended 25300, sell stop at 25950 for a gain of 650 DIA points.
Stocks are up 9 to 26155, DJ futures +21, attempt to stage a short covering rally continuing due to anti-tariff talks with China.
Gold is down to 1198.3 and USD/CHF down 0.99 due to President Trump setting tariffs on Chinese products.
Translation? As the dollar goes down, we have to wait and see if the new Fed Chair Jerome Powell will continue pressuring gold and the Eurasian block with it down below $1000/oz in an economic WW3. Watch sell stop at 25,950.
We have to wait and see if new Fed chair Powell will attempt to destroy Eurasian block by sending gold prices below 1000, despite the fact both Russia and China have been buying their whole gold production in local gold backed currency instead of money printing machines. In other words, US has lost controls of the precious metals complex, and with Trump’s infrastructure and tax cut campaign the National debt will soon be at, or over 30 trillion dollars, since D.C. swamp alligators have no intention dropping their pet projects. Read “Ziban Must Die” for more details on the coming collision of Trump’s administration with “Deep State” operators funded by the billionaires’ supporters of the New World Disorder.

Local shelter opens up to displaced dogs

A local dog shelter in Wake Forest, North Carolina opened up its doors to dozens of dogs from shelters that were forced to evacuate due to the hurricane.

Local residents have offered even more help for the 124 dogs, the News & Observer reports, and all the animals have found “hurricane homes” to take care of them through the storm.

Sometimes, government shelters are forced to euthanise animals before hurricanes due to over-crowding.

    ‘Avoid the attic’

‘Uninvited brute who doesn’t want to leave’: Governor

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper has warned residents relentless rain will continue through the weekend.

“Rivers are rising to dangerous levels,” he said. In one area, he added, a once-in-millennium rain event is expected.

“Stay indoors, don’t drive through water, don’t use a generator indoors, don’t fly drones.”

    Powerless

Almost half a million homes in North Carolina are without electricity, emergency officials say.

    The view from space

Nasa footage from the International Space Station show the hurricane as it made landfall.

    Motel full of ‘Florence refugees’

Gill from Buckinghamshire, who has been holidaying in North Carolina, told the BBC that she had changed her plans after hearing about the evacuations.

She was due to drive down the coast to Charleston, South Carolina. Instead, she travelled inland to Mocksville, North Carolina, well away from the Atlantic.

Gill said her motel was full of “Florence refugees”.

“Their cars are crammed with every possession they could fit in, they have no idea how long they will have to be here or what they will have to go back to.

“They are exercising their pets in the car park and watching the weather forecast constantly.”

    ‘Worst storm in a lifetime’

The mayor of Wilmington, North Carolina, tells the BBC’s Laura Trevelyan that Florence “is the worst storm he’s seen in a lifetime”.

    ‘Foolish to stay’

Lisa McLeod from Wilmington in North Carolina has moved 150 miles inland.

Resident Lisa McLeod told the BBC that she had planned to stay at home but decided to move after the path of Florence became more certain.

“I’ve spent a decade in North Carolina and this is the largest storm we’ve had that’s coming straight for us. It would have been foolish to stay,” she said.

“I’ve got an app which monitors my home and I know the power went out at 06:00 (10:00 GMT) this morning. Hopefully that will only be for a couple of days.”

  • River flowing backwards in NC

The 202-mile-long (325km) Cape Fear River in North Carolina has begun to flow backward thanks to Hurricane Florence.

A National Weather Service report on the river said there was now an increased change of “potentially catastrophic flooding in the Sandhills and the southern Coastal Plain”.

    National Guard on rescue missions

In New Bern, North Carolina, the National Guard has been conducting rescue missions amid flooding and wind damage from Florence.

Romance in the midst of a storm

A couple from North Virginia had planned a beach wedding on the coast of North Carolina this weekend.

Naturally, that plan has been wrecked by Hurricane Florence.

Marsha Bradway and Jonathan Gillenwater, both 56, told People magazine they still plan to have their wedding day on Sunday.

Where, you might ask? In their hometown, which is coincidentally called Hurricane.

Meanwhile, in Charleston, South Carolina, newlyweds on Wednesday brought their nuptials forward by two days to avoid the incoming tropical storm.

Florence wreaking havoc – NC governor

North Carolina’s governor tells a news conference that the hurricane is “wreaking havoc” on the state, and entire communities are under threat.

“We’re deeply concerned for whole communities which could be wiped away,” Roy Cooper said.

“Rescue workers are working in dangerous conditions that will only get worse today.”

He says about 500,000 people in the state are without power and a storm surge on the Neuse River is at 10ft (3m).

3…………> Gold Stash: Italy

Hundreds of Roman coins, dating back before 474 AD during the times of emperors Honorius, Valentinian III, Leon I, Antonio, and Libio Severo, have been unearthed at the site of a former theatre in Italy’s north.

The coins were found in Como — on the banks of the famous Lake Como, about 50 kilometers north of Milan — and were found hidden inside a soapstone jar during an excavation of the historic Cressoni Theatre.

Engravings on the nearly 300 coins suggest they date back to at least 474 AD, and it has been recommended they could be worth millions of dollars.

4…………> Trump’s Broom: ICE Operation “Soar”

Officers from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested 16 sexual predators during a 2-day period, ending Sep. 11 in New York City, the Hudson Valley and on Long Island, in an enforcement effort dubbed “Operation SOAR” (Sex Offender Alien Removal).

In the course of Operation SOAR, ERO deportation officers apprehended 16 individuals with criminal histories related to sexual offenses. Of those arrested, five were previously released from local law enforcement on an active detainer. ICE places detainers on individuals who have been arrested on domestic criminal charges and who are suspected of being deportable, so that ICE can take custody of that person when he or she is released from local custody. When law enforcement agencies fail to honor immigration detainers and release severe criminal offenders onto the streets, it undermines ICE’s ability to protect public safety and carry out its mission.

“Many of those arrested in this operation had been found guilty of inappropriate sexual behavior against a minor,” said Thomas R. Decker, field office director for ERO New York. “Our communities are safer, our children are safer, from the efforts of the men and women of ICE. We have removed them from our city’s streets, and we will seek to remove them from the United States.”

5…………> Massive Gas Line Explosions: Massachusetts’

Emergency response crews are responding to gas-related explosions in three separate communities in Massachusetts’ Merrimack Valley region, local media reported Thursday. Three people, including a firefighter, were directed to the Lawrence General hospital after being injured.
State Police have confirmed 70 fires, gas, or investigations of gas odors in Lawrence and North Andover. However, numbers are expected to grow. At least one home has been reported as being destroyed.

According to local newspaper the Eagle-Tribune, the fires are the result of a problem with the gas line that homes and businesses in Andover, North Andover and Lawrence are connected to.

Massachusetts State Police have told residents in all the affected communities who are served by Columbia Gas to evacuate, as the company is depressurizing its gas lines in response to the incidents.
