1…………> Remember A Hero: Airman John Chapman

HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. (AFNS) — The White House announced July 27, 2018, that Air Force Tech. Sgt. John Chapman will be posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor Aug. 22, for his extraordinary heroism during the Battle of Takur Ghar, Afghanistan, in March 2002.

According to the Medal of Honor nomination, Chapman distinguished himself on the battlefield through “conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity,” sacrificing his life to preserve those of his teammates.

Following Combat Control School, Chapman served with the 1721st Combat Control Squadron at Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina, where he met his wife, Valerie, in 1992. They had two daughters, who were the center of Chapman’s world even when he was away from home – which was common in the combat control career field.

“He would come home from a long trip and immediately have on his father hat – feeding, bathing, reading and getting his girls ready for bed,” said Chief Master Sgt. Michael West, who served with Chapman through Combat Control School, a three-year tour in Okinawa, Japan, and at Pope AFB. “They were his life, and he was proud of them…to the Air Force he was a great hero…what I saw was a great father.”

During the initial insertion onto Afghanistan’s Takur Ghar mountaintop on March 4, the MH-47 “Chinook” helicopter carrying Chapman and the joint special operations reconnaissance team was ambushed. He survived a violent engagement with multiple enemy fighters, for over an hour through the arrival of the quick reaction force, before paying the ultimate sacrifice. In the performance of these remarkably heroic actions, Chapman was applauded for saving the lives of his teammates.

3…………> Shut Down The Government: Trump

President Trump accused migrant parents who cross the U.S.-Mexico border with their sons and daughters of using these children to further “their sinister purposes,” defending his administration’s policy of separating children from their parents at the border. He said there should be consequences whenever someone enters the United States and claimed that our country has the “dumbest” and “worst” immigration laws in the world, encouraging the American people to vote for Republican candidates in the upcoming midterms so that Congress can amend these laws.

In addition, Mr.Trump threatened to shut-down the US government if Congress does not allocate $25 billion dollars for the construction of the border wall between US and Mexico.

4…………> Enemy Of The People: Trump

The publisher of the “failing” New York Times has urged President Donald Trump not to continue labeling reporters “enemies of the people,” saying it could “lead to violence” against the media.

Mr. Sulzberger said he had accepted the meeting with Mr. Trump to raise concerns about the president’s “deeply troubling anti-press rhetoric.”

Had a terrific and exciting meeting at the White House with A.G. Sulzberger, Publisher of the New York Times. Spent much time talking about the vast amounts of Fake News being put out by the media & how that Fake News has morphed into a phrase, “Enemy of the People.” Sad!

Mr.Sulzberger labeled the phrase “fake news” as “untrue and harmful” but said he was “far more concerned about his labeling journalists ‘the enemy of the people’.”
“I warned that this inflammatory language is contributing to a rise in threats against journalists and will lead to violence,” he said.

After Mr. ‘s statement was made public, Mr. Trump appeared to respond, as follow:

When the media-driven insane by their Trump Derangement Syndrome – reveals internal deliberations of our government, it indeed puts the lives of many, not just journalists, at risk! Very unpatriotic! Freedom of the press also comes with a responsibility to report the news.

1…………> A New Moulin Rouge Star: Aussie Girl

Aussie girl Rhylee Hensler, 19, recently made a move to the world’s most romantic city, Paris, to join its most famous cabaret, the Moulin Rouge, an assignment that has been every young dancer’s dream and has even inspired a movie,  far away from her home of Cairns in far north Queensland,

However, behind the make-up, feathers, and crystals, it takes a lot of courage and determination, as well as hard work, to make it as a showgirl, being one of only three dancers to cut the Australian auditions and only a handful from across the world.

Moulin Rouge associate artistic director Janet Pharaoh had been looking for something specific, and Ms. Hensler, who started dancing at age 10, checked all the boxes.

“The girls must have strong classical dance training, be a minimum of 5 feet and 9 inches tall, or taller,” Ms. Pharaoh said.
“We also like them to have super figures, very long legs, and a fabulous personality.”

“I feel fortunate to be in Paris, a city that is just incredible,” Ms. Hensler said.
“My first show on the Moulin Rouge stage was incredible, so much fun and energy, and everyone who works at Moulin is so nice and friendly.”

2…………> Back Home: Korea MIA

North Korea has transferred the remains of an unspecified number of soldiers killed in the Korean War, the first step by Pyongyang to implement an agreement made in a landmark summit in Singapore after a formal repatriation ceremony is being held in Osan before the remains are flown to Hawaii.

The repatriation was held on the 65th anniversary of the 1953 armistice agreement, and North Korea could follow the return with a push to end the war formally

“Today, [Comrade Un] is fulfilling part of the commitment he made to the President to return our fallen American service members,” the White House said in a statement.
“We are encouraged by North Korea’s actions and the momentum for positive change.”

A US military transport plane flew to an airfield in North Korea’s north-eastern city of Wonsan to bring the remains to Osan air base in South Korea, then back to Hawaii.

1…………> “Your Papers, Please”: Bank Of America

Until Bank of America cut off access to their money, Wichita native Josh Collins and his wife Jessica Salazar Collins have never heard anybody asking a question if they were US citizens or not. After all, why shouldn’t an American couple from Roeland Park ignore a form that the bank mailed them about a month ago asking, among other things, whether Josh Collins was a citizen or could claim dual citizenship with another country? So they tore it up and threw it in the trash, as millions of other customers would have done.

What this ordinary couple had not comprehended yet is the simple fact that our government ignores millions of grossly illegal and criminal “border crossers” and other unwelcome people flowing in our country, courtesy of the criminal consortium of GOP Establishment and our 1st Muslim President, Grand Ayatollah Barack Obama and his holdouts in the Trump’s administration, and instead inconveniences and spies on its own citizens.

What was Bank of America’s explanation?

“Like all financial institutions, we’re required by law to maintain complete and accurate records for all of our customers and may periodically request information, such as country of citizenship and proof of U.S. residency. This type of outreach is nothing new.. This information must be up to date, and therefore we periodically reach out to customers, which is what we did in this case,” the bureaucratic response stated.

Translation: Buy your cat few silver coins, just in case.

2…………> “Fake News” Fines: UK

Facebook must be made liable for “harmful and misleading” material on their websites and pay a levy so they can be regulated, British MPs said, warning of a crisis in democracy due to misuse of personal data.

Cambridge Analytica accessed data from 87 million Facebook users, making Facebook a focus of the media committee’s inquiry into “fake news,” leading to a proposal to place a levy on tech firms that could contribute to an increased budget for Britain’s data regulator.

The cost of higher privacy standards will hit Facebook’s profit margins for several years, wiping over $US120 billion ($A162 billion) off its share price, as the company comes under concerted regulatory scrutiny in Britain, the United States, and the European Union.

“Companies like Facebook made it easy for developers to scrape user data and to deploy it in other campaigns without their knowledge or consent,” committee chair Damian Collins said in a statement. “They must be made responsible, and liable, for the way in which harmful and misleading content is shared on their sites.”
