MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A previously convicted felon was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for unlawful reentry into the United States and illegally possessing a firearm, with the sentence announced by the acting U.S. Attorney for the western district of Tennessee, after the case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI):

Cecilio Gonzalez-Espino, 31, was convicted of multiple felony methamphetamine charges in California in 2011. As a result of his prior convictions and undocumented status, Gonzalez-Espino is prohibited by federal law from possessing firearms or ammunition.
