The US Border Patrol has been swamped by an unprecedented number of illegal immigrants approaching the southern US border following the introduction of a new immigration policy by recently elected US President Joe Biden.

According to multiple statements made in recent weeks by representatives of US border security agencies, a crisis at the US southern border has exhausted border security personnel and facilities under their supervision that are experiencing staff and space shortages as the country registers a record-breaking immigration influx.

Amid the extraordinary pressure, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has reportedly been mulling to raise the limit of migrants allowed to be released into the US as another option to the detention program.

Commenting on the alarming pressure and financial loses that border security agencies faces amid the immigration influx, a sheriff in Kinney County, Texas, Brad Coe, told Fox & Friends on Friday, that what is happening right now at the border is “unprecedented”.

“I’ve worked in this county for 35 years, and we are seeing a vast number of human smuggling events there; human trafficking. I said yesterday, between one o’clock and four o’clock, my deputies had four human smuggling events happen. I’ve got six deputies to cover 1,300 square miles. So this push is keeping my deputies working overtime. We can’t sustain this,” he noted.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A local man, identified as Jorge Rosales, 25, of Beaverton, Oregon, has been charged with federal child exploitation crimes after using various social media applications, including Snapchat and TikTok, distributing and possessing child pornography, cyberstalking, enticing a minor online, sexually exploiting a minor victim from Australia, according to Special Agent in Charge Robert Hammer, who oversees Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) operations in the Pacific Northwest and Acting U.S. Attorney Scott Erik Asphaug:

“Protecting our children from predators lurking on the internet is truly a global challenge, requiring coordination with our international law enforcement partners,” said SAC Hammer.

“HSI will continue to pursue online predators that exploit popular apps such as Snapchat and TikTok to lure innocent children.”

He said it would take 24 days to get completely back to normal eating. Navalny, whose imprisonment has aroused outrage around the world, started his protest to demand proper medical care for leg and back pain. Supporters and doctors have been voicing fears in the past few weeks that his life could be in danger.

The island is relatively frequently hit by earthquakes, as Taiwan is located near the Ring of Fire – a major area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean with extremely high seismic activity.

An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale hit Taiwan at 22:14 local time, just minutes after a 5.8 shock, the Central Weather Bureau announced on Sunday. The epicenter of the first seismic event was registered 19 km southwest of Hualien County Hall at a depth of 15 km, while the second quake was located 20 km southwest of the same location at a shallower 13.9 km depth, and no reports of any damage or casualties caused by the double quake have been reported.

In January, a 5.7-magnitude quake hit the island. Taiwan is located close to the junction of two tectonic plates in the South China Sea and is frequently shaken by quake.

NEWARK, N.J. – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested one of its 10 “Most Wanted” in Cliffside Park, New Jersey,  a man identified as Anibal Garcia-Jerez,  a previously removed, aggravated felon from Guatemala, convicted of child endangerment involving the production of child pornography, with outstanding warrants for a parole violation and failure to register as a sex offender.

He had previously been removed by ICE officers in 2018, after he was turned over to ICE following the completion of his sentencing. He later illegally reentered the United States, making him an ICE fugitive, and was considered an ICE enforcement priority due to his aggravated felony history. In January 2017, the Bergen County Superior Court, New Jersey convicted Garcia-Jerez for the offense of felony endangering the welfare of a child (photograph or film a child in a prohibited sex act) and sentenced him to three years confinement.

The US has announced sanctions against Russia in response to what it says are cyber-attacks and other hostile acts, with the measures, which target dozens of Russian entities and officials, aim to deter “Russia’s harmful foreign activities”, the White House statement saying Russian intelligence was behind last year’s massive “SolarWinds” hack, and accuses Moscow of interference in the 2020 election.

Russia denies all the allegations and says it will respond in kind, as the sanctions announced  are detailed in an executive order signed by President Joe Biden. They come at a tense time for relations between the two countries.

But some parents accused authorities of failing to respond appropriately, despite students at the Daniel Ninth Grade Campus in Aledo had posted messages on a group Snapchat that was reportedly labelled with terms such as “farm” and “auction”.
