Nine  Arizonans were indicted in undercover child sexual exploitation crackdown by a  State Grand Jury, accused of soliciting illegal sex acts from undercover agents who were posing as minors on various social media websites and applications. In January, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) assisted the Phoenix Police Department who partnered with Tempe Police Department, Mesa Police Department, Chandler Police Department and the Attorney General’s Office, for Operation Silent Predator. The operation was an undercover investigation targeting individuals soliciting sexual conduct with minors. In the course of the operational period, the below defendants were arrested and accused of various sex crimes offenses. Two defendants have been charged with child sex trafficking.

A British man was named today in a federal criminal complaint that charges him with smuggling into the United States mislabeled drugs purported to be a treatment for those suffering from COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel corona-virus.

Frank Richard Ludlow, 59, of West Sussex, United Kingdom, was charged with one count of introducing misbranded drugs into interstate commerce, a felony offense that carries a statutory maximum sentence of three years in federal prison,as the corona-virus global health crisis worsened, Ludlow repackaged preexisting Trinity Remedy as Trinity COVI-19 SARS Anti-pathogenic Treatment,kits, even though the kits had not been approved by the U.S. Food and rug Administration to treat COVI-19 – or for any other use.

Every major health authority has warned that there is no specific antiviral treatment for COVI-19 and no vaccine to prevent corona-virus infection. New drugs may not be legally introduced or delivered for introduction into interstate commerce without prior FA approval.

The number of Americans filing claims for unemployment benefits exploded to a record high of 6.6 million in the past week, as more States enforced stay-at-home measures to curb the corona-virus pandemic, with 6.6 million people applied for government aid in the past week alone, and 3.3 million people sent in their applications the previous week, as economists predict as many as 20 million jobs will be lost during the virus pandemic.

The latest jobless claims report from the Government’s employment and benefits sector, the most timely data on the economy’s health, supports economists’ views that the longest employment boom in US history probably ended in March, with data for the prior week was revised to show 24,000 more applications received than previously reported, lifting the number to 3.307 million.

The economic downturn is related to the corona-virus crisis that is gripping the US, which now has the highest number of confirmed cases of COVI-19 worldwide, with more than 216,000 people infected and over 5,100 dead.
