Since the riots that unfolded at the US Capitol on January 6, law enforcement officials have accelerated security measures ahead of Inauguration Day over concerns that violent protests may unfold, as tensions remain high among supporters of US President Donald Trump, following an internal memo from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) revealing that officials were made aware of armed protests that were being planned at all 50 state capitols across the Land of the Free, including the US Capitol.

Obtained by ABC News, the FBI bulletin indicates agents received information that also detailed an unidentified group was calling for the “storming” of state, local and federal courthouses if Trump were to be removed from office before Inauguration Day, with administrative buildings were also considered targets, according to the agency.

“The FBI received information about an identified armed group intending to travel to Washington, DC on 16 January,” the memo states.

“They have warned that if Congress attempts to remove POTUS via the 25th Amendment, a huge uprising will occur.”

Additionally, the same group is said to be making plans to “storm” government offices across every US state on Inauguration Day.

On July 23, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office in Breckenridge, Colorado, arrested and booked Rafael Ceba-Garcia into the Garfield County Jail. Ceba-Garcia is a citizen of Spain who initially entered the U.S. in February 2013 as a nonimmigrant visitor under the Visa Waiver Program, but failed to depart the U.S., overstaying his term of his admission by more than seven years.

Beam Suntory Inc. (Beam), a Chicago-based company that produces and sells distilled beverages, has agreed to pay a criminal monetary penalty of $19,572,885 to resolve the department’s investigation into violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
Beam entered into a three-year deferred prosecution agreement with the Criminal Division’s Fraud Section and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois in connection with a criminal information unsealed today in the Northern District of Illinois charging Beam with one count of conspiracy to violate the anti-bribery, internal controls, and books and records provisions of the FCPA.
“Beam and its Indian subsidiary not only paid bribes to Indian government officials, they intentionally failed to implement internal controls to prevent bribery and falsified their books and records to conceal the corrupt activity,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Brian C. Rabbitt of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. 
“Companies that use corrupt influence instead of competing in a fair, ethical, and honest manner should take note of today’s agreement: paying bribes to obtain and retain business is not business as usual, it is a crime.”
“U.S. companies that attempt to gain the upper hand in foreign business ventures by engaging in corruption must be held accountable,” said U.S. Attorney John R. Lausch Jr. for the Northern District of Illinois.  “The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act has a long reach, and for good reason.  It is critical that our global economy remain on a fair playing field.”

WASHINGTON — Due to an order from the Central District of California, and despite requests to transfer detainees to alternative locations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has complied with the mandated reduction to the overall detainee population at the Adelanto ICE Processing Center in Adelanto, California, which has resulted in the release of dangerous criminal aliens into various communities.
Pursuant to the court’s order, Adelanto, which is maintained by a federal contractor, released more than 250 criminal aliens back into communities – a decision the agency continues to warn could lead to unnecessary victimization by recidivist criminals. The forced reduction is now complete and the current population at the facility is approximately 465.
“While opponents who continuously seek to discredit the agency might otherwise mislead the public to believe that those in detention pose no risk to public safety, nothing could be further from the truth,” said ICE’s Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Director Tony H. Pham.
“ICE has complied with this overreaching court order; however, the public should know that the ruling undoubtedly places them at greater risk.”

According to police spokesperson, officers fatally shot a 27-year-old black man in the shoulder and chest during deadly confrontation in Philadelphia, sparking protests against police brutality that led to dozens of arrests, as people gathered at a nearby park where the shooting occurred and chanted: “Black Lives Matter”, following a call to the Cobbs Creek neighborhood where they encountered the man, later identified as Walter Wallace, who was reportedly holding a knife.
Video of the fatal confrontation recorded by a bystander and posted on social media shows two police officers pointing their guns at Mr. Wallace as he walks in the street and around a car.
He walks toward the officers as they back away from him in the street, guns still trained on him.
