…..But should be much higher than that if Twitter wasn’t playing their political games. No wonder Congress wants to get involved – and they should. Must be more, and fairer, companies to get out the WORD!

2…………> Human Smuggling: Chicago

Luis Alfredo Delacruz, 49, from DeKalb, Illinois, was indicted on the following charges: two counts of bringing aliens into the United States at a place other than a designated port of entry for commercial advantage or private financial gain; two counts of bringing aliens into the US, for commercial advantage or private financial gain, and each count of harboring illegal aliens for commercial advantage or private financial gain, carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Each count of bringing aliens into the United States at a place other than a designated port of entry for commercial advantage or private financial gain carries a mandatory minimum sentence of three years in prison and a maximum of 10 years.

It is further alleged that on June 1, 2018, Delacruz illegally harbored eight illegal aliens in buildings or other places through employment at Alfredo’s Iron Works in Cortland.

3…………> Vermont Drug Ring Busted: ICE

Attorney for the District of Vermont and multiple state and federal law enforcement agencies announced the seizure of approximately 1,000 bags of heroin and 70 grams of cocaine base as part of a multiagency drug trafficking enforcement operation in and around Brattleboro, Vermont, a town hard hit by the opioid crisis in New England.

Among the federal counts filed against those arrested in the operation included charges of distribution of cocaine base; distribution of fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute heroin; communicating to facilitate the commission of a drug felony connected to an attempt to distribute narcotics; conspiracy to distribute narcotics; and possession with intent to distribute cocaine base.

“Homeland Security Investigations is committed to maintaining our strong working relationship with our state, local and federal law enforcement colleagues in addressing the threats to public safety in the state of Vermont. This coordinated operation exemplifies the teamwork of Vermont law enforcement and our collective determination to deter and bring consequences to local and out-of state dealers who ravage our communities. There is suffering from the drug crisis in every corner of Vermont, not least of all Brattleboro, in light of its geographic proximity to dealers based in the Springfield, Massachusetts area,” the Attorney for the District of Vermont said.

4…………> Texas Slave Drivers: Forced Labor & More

District Court Judge Reid O’Connor sentenced defendants Mohamed Toure, 58, and Denise Cros-Toure, 58, of Southlake, Texas, to seven years in prison each and ordered them to pay $288,620.24 in restitution, after a federal jury convicted the defendants of forced labor, conspiracy to commit alien harboring, and alien harboring on Jan. 11 following a four-day trial.

“I hope that today’s sentence brings some measure of justice and healing to the victim, who suffered untold trauma as a result of the defendants’ heinous crimes. The defendants stole her childhood and her labor for years, enriching themselves while leaving her with pain and an uncertain future,” said Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband.

“I am very grateful to all who supported, and continue to support, the victim as she attempts to rebuild her life. The Department of Justice will continue to investigate and vigorously prosecute human traffickers and vindicate the rights of their victims.”

According to the evidence at trial, the defendants, members of wealthy and powerful Guinean families, arranged for the victim, then a young child from a rural Guinean community, to travel alone from her home in West Africa to the defendants’ home in Southlake, Texas, in early 2000. Once in the United States, the defendants forced the victim to cook, clean, and take care of their biological children, some of whom were close in age to the victim, without pay for the next 16 years.

5…………> New Mexico Militia Hit List: Obama, Clinton, Soros & Co

Larry Mitchell Hopkins, 69, and his group United Constitutional Patriots, plotted to target Hillary Clinton and billionaire George Soros,  as the suspected leader of a New Mexico militia group threatened to assassinate former President Barack Obama, according to the FBI.

His lawyer has denied the allegations:

“He says that is categorically false that that’s what they were doing”, Kelly O’Connell said.

2…………> Shut Obama’s Revolving Door: No Re-Entry

A Salvadoran man was indicted Wednesday for illegally re-entering the United States after having been previously deported.

Jose Eduardo Melara-Carcamo, 33, was named in an indictment returned by a federal grand jury on April 17 charging him with illegal re-entry of a deported alien.

According to court documents, on March 20, 2019, Melara-Carcamo was arrested for public intoxication in Henderson County, Texas. A deportation officer with ICE’s Mobile Criminal Alien Team interviewed Melara-Carcamo and determined that he was an alien from El Salvador, and he allegedly was unlawfully present in the United States. In 2018, the same deportation officer had processed Melara for removal. A records check confirmed that Melara had been previously removed three times to El Salvador in 2007, 2013 and 2018. After each removal, he illegally re-entered the United States.

3…………> Mueller’s Report Out: AG Barr’s Remarks

On March 22, 2019, Special Counsel Robert Mueller concluded his investigation of matters related to Russian attempts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election and submitted his confidential report to me pursuant to Department of Justice regulations.

As I said during my Senate confirmation hearing and since, I am committed to ensuring the greatest possible degree of transparency concerning the Special Counsel’s investigation, consistent with the law.

At 11:00 this morning, I will transmit copies of a public version of the Special Counsel’s report to the Chairmen and Ranking Members of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees.  The Department of Justice will also make the report available to the American public by posting it on the Department’s website after it has been delivered to Congress.

I would like to offer a few comments today on the report.

But before I do that, I want to thank Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein for joining me here today and for his assistance and counsel throughout this process.  Rod has served the Department of Justice for many years with dedication and distinction, and it has been a great privilege and pleasure to work with him since my confirmation.  He had well-deserved plans to step back from public service that I interrupted by asking him to help in my transition.  Rod has been an invaluable partner, and I am grateful that he was willing to help me and has been able to see the Special Counsel’s investigation to its conclusion.  Thank you, Rod.

I would also like to thank Special Counsel Mueller for his service and the thoroughness of his investigation, particularly his work exposing the nature of Russia’s attempts to interfere in our electoral process.

4…………> US Border Crisis: In Person

As the number of migrant arrivals at the US southern border increases, the Trump administration has taken measures with an aim to deter the migration. Now, US Attorney General Barr expanded indefinite detention for asylum seekers who have proven a credible fear for their safety.

5…………> Mueller’s Report: Close And Personal

Attorney General Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein, who oversaw the 22-month Mueller investigation, summarized their findings on the nearly 400-page report at a news conference, regarding the meddling in the 2016 election and whether President  Trump associates conspired with the Kremlin, as well as possible obstruction of justice by the president.

Barr said the “investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities“, observing that Trump was “frustrated and angered” by the investigation, the White House cooperated fully, and his lawyers reviewed a redacted version of the report prior to its release.

2…………> Appalachian Opioid Crackdown: Scores Arrested

Attorney General William P. Barr and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex M. Azar II, together with multiple law enforcement partners, today announced enforcement actions involving 60 charged defendants across 11 federal districts, including 31 doctors, seven pharmacists, eight nurse practitioners, and seven other licensed medical professionals, for their alleged participation in the illegal prescribing and distributing of opioids and other dangerous narcotics and for health care fraud schemes.  In addition, HHS announced today that since June 2018, it has excluded over 2,000 individuals from participation in Medicare, Medicaid and all other Federal health care programs, which includes more than 650 providers excluded for conduct related to opioid diversion and abuse.  Since July 2017, DEA has issued 31 immediate suspension orders, 129 orders to show cause, and received 1,386 surrenders for cause nationwide for violations of the Controlled Substances Act.

“The opioid epidemic is the deadliest drug crisis in American history, and Appalachia has suffered the consequences more than perhaps any other region,” Attorney General William P. Barr said.

“But the Department of Justice is doing its part to help end this crisis.  One of the Department’s most promising new initiatives is the Criminal Division’s Appalachian Regional Prescription Opioid Strike Force, which began its work in December.  Just four months later, this team of federal agents and 14 prosecutors has charged 60 defendants for alleged crimes related to millions of prescription opioids.  I am grateful to the Criminal Division, their U.S. Attorney partners, and to the members of the strike force for this outstanding work that holds the promise of saving many lives in Appalachian communities.”

3…………> I Ain’t Dead Yet: Brain Research

In a study financed mostly by the National Institutes of Health, with 32 test organs coming from pigs killed for food at a local slaughterhouse, scientists were able to monitor some neuron activity within the brains of pigs that had been pronounced dead hours before, raising hopes for some medical advances and questions about the definition of death.

Researchers are emphasizing that the brains could not think or sense anything, and restoring consciousness was not a goal of the study, yet the analysis of the data found evidence that brain cells were absorbing blood sugar and oxygen hours after the pigs were slaughtered.

While lauding the experiment, some researchers have questioned whether it could become an ethical minefield.

4…………> Comrade UN New Bargaining Chip: A Missile

In yet another round of horse trading between Comrade Un, and his friend President Trump, the military of North Korea fire tested a new weapon system, described as a “tactical guided weapon” carrying a “powerful warhead,”  with the Supreme leader present at the test, marking the first publicized weapons’ development since the Hanoi talks.

The White House has been so far silent, and so have been President Trump’s tweets, mostly attacking the “enemy of the people, a.k.a the “Fake News” media.

5…………> Market Report for 04/17/2019: sell stop 26100: CG 4018/11/21/2019

Stocks down 3 to 26450, DJ futures -48,  as President Trump selected another conservative ally Herman Cain for appointment on the Fed, sparking a rally that continued the momentum due to anti-tariff talks to end the government shutdown and China spending 1 trillion dollars to buy US products.

New trade long 25600, sell stop 26100 for a gain of 500 points, gold down to 1274.3.
