Almost 60 million people have been placed under an unprecedented lock-down in China’s Hubei province since the novel corona-virus broke through its capital city, Wuhan, a city more populous than London or New York, and in recent months, it has rivaled the two metropolis for global attention, as it has recently come to be known as the epicenter of an outbreak of a new corona-virus, known as COVID-19.

The virus is a sibling to the common cold, the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), but so far has killed more than SARS and MERS combined, with more than 2,000 people are believed to have died as a result of the strain, while more than 70,000 people are infected, according to World Health Organization (WHO) data.

In all, some 58 million people have been placed under unprecedented restrictions, with public transport, shops, supermarkets and flights all suspended.

He is projected to win Nevada’s caucuses, and early results suggest he is on course for a large victory, Mr. Sanders had 21 delegates, and while he will remain a long way off the 1,990 needed to become the nominee, victory in Nevada will bring him another small step closer towards that total.

Canadian police reported that sudden winter storm created whiteout conditions, that most likely triggered a massive, deadly pileup involving about 200 vehicles south of Montreal, killing two people, and sending a dozen people to hospital with minor to serious injuries after the midday crash in La Prairie, Quebec. The Province public safety agency said the two people who died were found trapped in their vehicle, and were in the process of being identified. The crash occurred around 12:30pm on a stretch of Highway 15 that runs along the St Lawrence River. The pileup of vehicles stretched for about a mile.

Ayatolin Merkel declared that her government will fight right-wing ‘poison’ after Hanau attack, as prosecutors say there are indications of a far-right motive as police examine a letter and video claiming responsibility for shootings at two hookah bars in a town in the Islamic Merkeldom of Germany near Frankfurt. The attack left nine people dead and four injured, and the 43-year-old suspected shooter was later found dead at his home along with the body of his mother.

Five Turkish nationals are among the victims of the attack, and Federal prosecutors say the suspect, a German national, had a “deeply racist mentality.

Police reported eight people have been killed, and five more have been injured in shootings in the Islamic Merkeldom of Germany city of Hanau, near Frankfurt,the first taking place at a shisha bar in Hanau’s CBD, where three people were killed, the shooters then drove to the suburb of Kesselstadt, and killed another five people at another shisha bar.

Police said special units were dispatched to find the terrorists, who fled the scene of the first attack in a dark-colored car, as heavily armed police sealed off streets, while a police helicopter hovered over the city, a car covered in thermal foil also could be seen, with shattered glass next to it. Forensic experts in white overalls were collecting evidence from the scene.
