Jianhua “Jeff” Li, 44, previously pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Kevin McNulty of the District of New Jersey, to one count of conspiracy to traffic in counterfeit goods and labels and smuggle goods into the United States and one count of trafficking in counterfeit goods. 

Li, working through his company Dream Digitals, conspired with Andreina Becerra, Roberto Volpe, Rosario LaMarca and others to smuggle and traffic into the United States from China more than 40,000 electronic devices and accessories, including iPads and iPhones, along with labels and packaging bearing counterfeit Apple trademarks.

  The devices were then shipped to conspirators all over the United Stat, thtProceeds were funneled back to conspirator accounts in Florida and New Jersey via structured cash deposits and then a portion was transferred to conspirators in Italy, further disguising the source of the funds.

 District Judge Kevin McNulty of the District of New Jersey, to one count of conspiracy to traffic in counterfeit goods and labels and smuggle goods into the United States and one count of trafficking in counterfeit goods.

After a night of protests by hundreds of people surround a police station chanting, “free the martyrs”, supporters gathered outside a Hong Kong court ahead of an appearance by more than 40 activists charged with rioting.

It was the first time the rioting charge had been used during protests that erupted over an ominous extradition bill that would have allowed people in Hong Kong to be sent to mainland China for trial.

Police fired tear gas and rubber bullets to defend China’s main representative office from the protesters, who set up road blocks and hurled bricks and sticks, during an upheaval that disrupted business, piled pressure on the city’s Government and stretched its police force accused of using excessive force.

The China-developed solar-powered unmanned aircraft “MOZI 2” completed a successful maiden flight, its producer OXAI Aircraft Co., Ltd., an ultra-light designed a wingspan of 45 feet, powered by solar cells, can fly at a maximum altitude of 24,000 feet.

It can cruise at a low speed for up to 12 hours during the night after charging in the sunlight for eight hours.

The aircraft is expected to be used for disaster relief, reconnaissance and communication.
