“This week, three significant storms threaten American communities across an area spanning nearly 5,000 miles: Hurricane Florence (the Southeastern coast), Tropical Storm Olivia (Hawaii), and Tropical Storm Isaac (the Caribbean).

Hurricane Florence, in particular, poses a catastrophic threat to millions living in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. The storm is expected to produce total rainfall of 20 to 30 inches, with isolated amounts up to 40 inches. “These numbers are hard to comprehend, but based on experience, this amount of rain produces life-threatening, catastrophic flooding,” the National Weather Service tweeted.

President Donald J. Trump met with Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, FEMA Administrator Brock Long, and other senior officials yesterday in the Oval Office to discuss preparations. “Hurricane Florence is setting out to be a devastating event,” Administrator Long said, comparing its potential to Hurricane Hugo in 1989.

The Administration is focused on helping state leaders and the general public alike before, during, and after the storm makes landfall.

“We’re supporting the governors with achieving their life safety evacuation and movements,” Administrator Long said. “We’re focused on mass care and sheltering. And then we’ll be focused on helping them to execute their response and recovery goals.”

Earlier this week, President Trump approved emergency declarations for South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. “I’ve spoken with the governors,” President Trump said yesterday. “They’re prepared. We’re prepared.”

To all Americans in the path of these storms: Be safe, be ready, and follow the advice of local officials.”

4…………> Typhoon Mangkut: Luzon

The most powerful typhoon named Mangkut is closing in on the northern Philippines, with recorded winds of 180 mi/h that will lead to storm surges, flooding and landslides increase the risks, the 15th storm to batter the Philippines this year.
Forecasters said Typhoon Mangkhut, considered the strongest this year, could hit northern Cagayan province on Saturday.

It was located about 260 miles  away in the Pacific with sustained winds of 180 mi/h  per hour and gusts of up to 216 mi/h.

The super typhoon with a massive rain band 600 miles  wide rain and storm band  will hit land in the north-eastern corner of Luzon Island, which is home to about 48 million people.

Stocks up 28 to 25999, DJ futures +1, attempt to stage a short covering rally continuing due to anti-tariff talks with China.

Gold up to 1210.50 and USD/CHF down 0.99 due to President Trump setting tariffs on Chinese products. Translation? As the dollar goes down, we have to wait and see if the new Fed Chair Jerome Powell will continue pressuring gold and the Eurasian block with it down below $1000/oz in an economic WW3. Watch sell stop at 25,800.
 We have to wait and see if new Fed chair Powell will attempt to destroy Eurasian block by sending gold prices below 1000, despite the fact both Russia and China have been buying their whole gold production in local gold backed currency instead of money printing machines. In other words, US has lost controls of the precious metals complex, and with Trump’s infrastructure and tax cut campaign the National debt will soon be at, or over 30 trillion dollars, since D.C. swamp alligators have no intention dropping their pet projects.
