He warned that steps the US is taking now, including the development of potential vaccines and other drug treatments, will be essential if the disease reemerges, Johns Hopkins University reported that there are over 66,000 confirmed cases of COVI-19, and at least 827 deaths related to the disease in the United States.

..The US has been warned it could become the new corona-virus epicenter, most elective surgeries are being suspended in Australia, and Victoria’s Premier has warned further shutdown measures are imminent, but President Trump wants country back to normal by Easter:

“I would love to have the country opened up and just raring to go by Easter”, he said.

“Wouldn’t it be great to have all of the churches full,” Mr. Trump said in a subsequent interview.

“You’ll have packed churches all over our country”.

Infections in the US have reached nearly 50,000, with more than 600 deaths — more than 100 of them this week, as public health experts have warned Mr.Trump the plan would be a mistake, since Government guidelines currently say Americans should not gather in groups larger than 10, and should avoid dining out in restaurants or bars.

But hard-hit states including New York and California have gone further and enacted their own home lockdown orders.
Another 743 people died in Italy,as the  country accounts for a third of all deaths worldwide, recording its second-worst daily corona-virus death toll, with another 743 people dying from COVID-19. Hopes that the epidemic in the world’s worst-hit country was easing after lower numbers in the previous two days have been dashed, with the latest figures show that 6,820 people have died from the infection in hardly a month, meaning Italy accounts for a third of all deaths worldwide, the total number of confirmed cases hit 69,176 , but was only testing people with severe symptoms.

Meanwhile in good “old” USA, “Corona-virus is spreading in New York like ‘a bullet train”, according to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has pleaded for medical supplies, but President Trump said he hoped the country could get back to normal by Easter, which is 19 days away. Mr. Trump, a Republican, said: “We’re going to be opening relatively soon… I would love to have the country opened up and just rearing to go by Easter,Easter is a very special day for me… and you’ll have packed churches all over our country”.

He warned that otherwise the country could suffer,a massive recession or depression:

“You’re going to lose people. You’re going to have suicides by the thousands. You’re going to have all sorts of things happen, You’re going to have instability. You can’t just come in and say, ‘Let’s close up the United States of America, the most successful country in the world by far,our decision will be based on hard facts and data as to the opening [of our country]”, he said.

An Allentown, Pennsylvania, attorney has been charged for his role in a 2.7 million investment fraud scheme that victimized his law clients, according to a superseding indictment that was unsealed Monday.
Assistant Attorney General Mr. Brian A. Benczkowski of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, Mr. U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and Special Agent in Charge Mr. Michael J. Driscoll of the FBI’s Philadelphia Field Office made the announcement.The defendant  Todd H. Lahr, 60, of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, was indicted by a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and wire fraud, two counts of securities fraud, and four counts of wire fraud,
According to the superseding indictment, from 2012 through 2019, Lahr conspired with others to perpetrate a securities fraud scheme targeting his own law clients, which involved the fraudulent sale of the securities of two entities, THL Holdings LLC and Ferran Global Holdings Inc. Lahr used investor funds to finance his own lifestyle, paying his home mortgage, his child’s school tuition, utility bills and other personal debts. He allegedly perpetuated the scheme by using money that he received from new investors to pay money owed to other investors in the scheme.
Total investor losses are estimated to be over 2.7 million, according to the indictment.

People infected with corona-virus are being sent to a medical facility in southwest Moscow, the President  arriving at the hospital in Kommunarka, a neighborhood in SW Moscow, where patients are being treated for the deadly infection. A video was posted online where Mr.Putin is seen sporting an yellow hazmat suit and a respirator, surrounded by hospital staff.
