The Indian drug regulatory body, the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI), had approved the “antisera” treatment against COVID-19 developed by taking antibodies from the blood of horses.
“The ICMR and Biological E Limited, Hyderabad, have developed highly purified antisera (raised in animals) for prophylaxis and treatment of COVID-19”, ICMR has confirmed.
Antisera are a blood serum, high in antibodies against a virus. They are injected into humans to boost the immune system to fight specific infections.
During the study, 10 horses were inoculated with SARS-CoV-2. Post recovery, the plasma from horses’ blood showed antibodies against the coronavirus.

Michigan: Felon Charged with Drug Trafficking and Illegal Possession of Firearm
The Department of Justice highlights a case that has resulted from Operation Legend, today’s case being out of Eastern District of Michigan, where a Detroit man was charged in federal court with drug trafficking and illegally possessing a firearm.
“Operation Legend is taking dangerous, armed drug dealers off of our streets and putting them where they belong, which is in federal prison and far away from the peaceful citizens of Michigan,” said U.S. Attorney Matthew Schneider for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Eric Walker, 44, of Detroit, was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, and oxycodone, as well as being a felon in possession of a firearm.
According to court documents, law enforcement agents working as part of Operation Legend received tips that Walker had allegedly been selling cocaine, heroin, pharmaceutical pills, and marijuana. Surveillance was set up at the location where Walker was allegedly dealing the drugs and officers observed several drug transactions take place. Officers then executed a search warrant, where they located a black Delta Rex 9mm Handgun loaded with 13 live rounds; approximately 136 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 23.5 grams of suspected heroin, 672 grams of suspected marijuana, approximately 4.5 amphetamine pills, and approximately 93 pills of suspected oxycodone; multiple phones/electronic devices; packaging materials and scales. Preliminary lab results indicated the heroin was laced with fentanyl and the suspected cocaine is crack cocaine.
Walker is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to previous felony convictions, including second degree murder and assault with intent to murder.
The details contained in the charging document are all allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

BALTIMORE – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged immigration detainers on three defendants charged in the May 29 murder of 16-year-old Gabriela Ardon. In addition to being illegally present in the United States, they are believed to be members or associates of Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), a transnational criminal organization.
“In this case, two of the suspects arrested had previously been encountered by ICE but due to state and local policies that put politics above public safety, they were released to the street,” said Acting Baltimore Field Office Director Francisco Madrigal.
“This is the worst-case scenario when detainers are not honored.”
ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) lodged detainers with the Baltimore County Detention Center on unlawfully present Salvadoran nationals Wilson Art Constanza-Galdomez, 21, and Wualter Orellana- Hernandez, 19, and unlawfully present Honduran national Jonathan J. Pesquera-Puerto, 19. All three have been charged with first degree murder, first degree assault, and kidnapping in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, Maryland. The suspects were already in police custody in connection to a June 6 assault of three individuals resulting in the death of a woman. All entered the United States as minors.

After the president reported testing positive for the novel coronavirus, and was airlifted with First Lady Melania Trump to a military hospital, his personal physician Dr. Sean Conley reported that he is “doing very well” and is on track to making a full recovery.
“Just 72 hours into the diagnosis now, the first week of Covid, and in particular days 7-10 are the most critical in determining the likely course of this illness. At this time the team and I are extremely happy with the progress the president has made,” Conley said, speaking to reporters in Bethesda, Maryland on Saturday.
According to the doctor, Trump experienced fever, a “mild cough, some nasal congestion and fatigue” on Thursday, “all of which are now resolving and improving.”
Dr. Sean Dooley, another physician monitoring the president’s health, said Trump’s cardiac, liver and kidney function were all “normal,” and that he was not receiving oxygen, and has shown no problems breathing or walking around the White House Medical Unit.
“He’s in exceptionally good spirits, and in fact as we were completing our multidisciplinary rounds this morning, the quote he left us with was ‘I feel like I could walk out of here today’, and that was a very encouraging comment from the president,” Dooley added.
