An autopsy has concluded that financier Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, the New York City medical examiner’s office says, after he was found unresponsive in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in New York City on August 10, sparking outrage and disbelief over how such a high-profile prisoner, known for socializing with powerful people including US presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton.
The FBI and the Justice Department’s inspector-general are both investigating Mr. Epstein’s death, with Attorney-General William Barr saying officials have uncovered “serious irregularities” at the jail, ordering the removal of the warden at the jail.
Mr. Epstein, a convicted sex offender who was facing additional charges of sexually abusing numerous underage girls over several years, had been placed on suicide watch last month after he was found on his cell floor on July 23.

Most of world’s attention has been on China’s few but ever-larger fixed-wing aircraft carriers, yet very little attention has been paid to a host of helicopter carriers and amphibious assault ships that pose a far greater danger to Taiwan and the South China Sea.
The Type 075 landing helicopter dock (LHD) is almost as large as the aircraft carrier Liaoning and its larger sister ship, Type 001A, it can carry dozens of helicopters as well as large detachments of marines and their landing craft, posing a potent threat to any maritime area.
The US Marine Corps operates nine such vessels: eight 40,000-ton Wasp-class ships and one newer, 45,000-ton America-class vessel.
In American naval nomenclature, LHD is interchangeable with amphibious assault ship (AAS)
The Type 075 ships are predicted to be roughly the same size as the Wasp-class ships, making them by far the largest such vessels operated by a non-American naval force. The Diplomat notes that the initial Type 075 LHDs are expected to weigh in at 31,000 tons’ displacement and carry 28 helicopters, but that a larger Type 075A is believed to be in the works, to the tune of 40,000 tons’ displacement and an air wing of 40 helicopters.

Facebook has admitted that it hired human contractors to listen to audio conversations its users had on Facebook Messenger without their prior consent, but the problem is that doesn’t mention audio recordings in the data-use policy and users didn’t provide their consent to the company to transcribe their communications and share them with third-party firms.
The social networking site explained that it used the records of only those users who chose the option to decrypt audio files in the messenger, and thus checked how well the neural network works.
