It seems to really be going across party lines at this point. You would think it might be a little more conservative on the New California side and liberal on the other, but we get calls from Los Angeles County and Sacramento,” that’s how Northern California, Yuba City native Robert Paul Preston envisions his dream of splitting California in two to create the nation’s sixth-largest state, called New California, a state that unlike its brethren down south will not be liberal-friendly.

Scotland’s transport minister Ayatollah Humza Yousaf said the weather was “extremely challenging” and not witnessed for a number of years, as reports of stranded motorists forced to sleep in their vehicles surfaced indicating that a ‘snow bomb’ and freezing temperatures have brought Scotland to a standstill, while authorities were preparing for yet another Arctic storm blast.

The main motorway link M74 between Scotland and England became impassable as a fleet of gritters struggled to keep the country on the move while train and ferry links were also seriously disrupted.

 At the end of a joint appearance with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Trump was asked by CNN gadfly Jim Acosta whether he said in a bipartisan meeting that he wants more immigrants from Norway. “I want them to come in from everywhere. … Thank you very much,” Trump said, as a White House aide urged the press to leave. Acosta then asked Trump whether he favors immigrants just from white or Caucasian countries. “Out,” Trump responded, pointing to the exit as the event ended.

In a new example of the global weather patterns disturbances, Russia’s remote Yakutia region, a region of 1 million people about 3,300 miles  east of Moscow was hit by minus 88.6 degrees Fahrenheit extreme temperatures, well below the calibrated lower limit of the thermometers. 

The cold snap led to two man freezing to death, and three others barely surviving due to having warm clothes.

An embarrassing end of celebration of Most Reverend Martin Luther King’s life and legacy in Las Vegas came into view when about 100 people began fighting in the street in front of Fremont Casino, leading to the arrest of at least 23 minors and six adults, all caught on video by local TV company.

Police officers on horses are tried to control the violence while street officer handcuffed  the troublemakers.

Raids across the Islamic Merkeldom of Germany targeted homes and businesses belonging to 10 suspected Iranian intelligence cells, cells that have been linked in the past to spying, assassinating dissidents and targeting Israelis.
