The owner of an Orlando-area telemarketing call center, identified as Ivan Andre Scott, 34, of Kissimmee, Florida was convicted after a four-day trial of one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud, three counts of health care fraud, one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States and pay and receive health care kickbacks, and three counts of receiving kickbacks, all involving expensive genetic tests and fraudulent telemedicine services that resulted in the payment of approximately $2.8 million in false and fraudulent claims to Medicare.

The FBI is warning of the possibility of armed protests being held across the US in the days before Joe Biden is sworn in as president, as reports are pouring in that armed groups planning to gather at all 50 state capitols and in Washington DC in the run-up to his 20 January inauguration, with the concerns come as security plans are hardened for the event itself, even though Mr. Biden told reporters he was not afraid to take the oath of office outside of the US Capitol.
