The Taiwanese Defense Ministry reported that four Chinese J-16s, and four JH-7s and an electronic warfare aircraft were seen flying in the South China Sea near the Taiwan-controlled Pratas Islands, forcing his country to engage the approaching air force in response, by issuing “radio warnings” and deploying their air defense missile systems to “monitor the activity”.
