Seven decades after a total of 300,000 metric tons of chemical weapons in Germany and Nazi-occupied areas including mustard gas, arsenic bombs and a host of other toxins were dumped into the sea, the metal have eroded and the chemicals are now leaking freely, poisoning fish and various aquatic organisms.

“These are specific cases, for example where various processes at the seabed are scheduled, or near to ecologically vulnerable areas,” the Polish-based Daimon project (Decision Aid for Marine Munitions) coordinator Jacek Beldowski said about work has been underway to determine areas of the Baltic where the chemical arms could possibly be salvaged.

He pointed out that this process is extremely expensive so that no country can bear the costs alone, hence a joint consortium of countries could be established to fund the chemical pollution clearing project to support  the mine sweeping.

5…………> Seal The Border: DHS

“We will be doing things with Mexico and they have to do it, otherwise I’m not going to do the NAFTA deal. NAFTA has been fantastic for Mexico, bad for us,” President Trump said.

“Until we can have a wall and proper security, we’re going to be guarding our border with the military. That’s a big step. President Obama made changes that basically created no border. It’s called catch and release . . . they go into our country, we can’t throw them out and in many cases, they shouldn’t be here,” Mr. Trump declared during a news conference at the White House.

DHS Chief Kirstjen Nielsen said “the president is frustrated” over continued illegal immigration, and he has been very clear that he wants to secure our border. It’s time to act,” Nielsen concluded, but did not specify how many troops would be deployed on the assignment.
