Sarah Sanders said that President Trump is “once again delivering on his promise to build the wall”, but Nancy Pelosi did not rule a legal challenge, warning of the unintended consequences of such an action that may force a future president to call “gun crime” a national emergency, leading to the confiscation of Americas firearms.

The government funding bill does not supply the funds for the wall Mr. Trump wanted but will keep vital services running.

In his attempt to bypass Congress to get money that has so far been denied for his wall along the US-Mexico border, Mr. Trump risks triggering a swift court challenge from Democrats on constitutional grounds.

“President Trump will sign the government funding bill, and as he has stated before. He will also take other executive action — including a national emergency — to ensure we stop the national security and humanitarian crisis at the border,” Ms. Sanders said.

Garcia admitted that from November 2015 to May 2018, he fraudulently presented himself as an immigration attorney and charged various fees to unwitting victims who sought assistance applying for U.S. immigration benefits. Garcia, who is not a licensed attorney, carried out his scheme under the business names “Justice International” and “High-End Immigrant Resource Center.”

Garcia remains in federal custody and is set to be sentenced in El Paso Jan. 17 following his latest conviction.
