George Sorbane Quotes:
1. “Not crazy are those souls who marvel at God’s creation, but the ones who ridicule them.”
1…………> Today’s White House Tweets
Donald J. Trump
Congratulations to the GREAT Bob Cousy!
Donald J. Trump
Looking forward to soon being in North Carolina to hold a big rally for wonderful Dan Bishop, who is running for Congress. His opponent wants Open Borders, Sanctuary Cities, and Socialism. He likes the “Squad” more than North Carolina. Dan has my Full and Complete Endorsement!
2…………> The Queens Of Death:Women Bomb-Makers
Earlier today, at the federal courthouse in Brooklyn, Asia Siddiqui and Noelle Velentzas, both citizens of the United States and residents of Queens, pleaded guilty to teaching and distributing information pertaining to the making and use of an explosive, destructive device, and weapon of mass destruction, intending that it be used to commit a federal crime of violence.
When sentenced, the defendants face up to 20 years in prison.
Velentzas and Siddiqui planned to build a bomb for use in a terrorist attack in the United States, and taught each other chemistry and electrical skills related to creating explosives and building detonating devices; conducted research on how to make plastic explosives and how to build a car bomb; and shopped for and acquired materials to be used in an explosive device.
“Inspired by radical Islam, Velentzas and Siddiqui researched and taught each other how to construct bombs to be used on American soil against law enforcement and military targets,” said Assistant Attorney General John C. Demers.
“Thanks to the tireless work of law enforcement, they were stopped before they could bring their murderous plans to fruition.”
3…………> China’s Boundless Ambition: A Nobel Laureate Warning
“I want my pain to be your gain so that you know what we are up against,” astrophysicist, and a Nobel laureate in dark energy Professor Brian Schmidt said.
He scared the hell out of Australia’s university chiefs and intelligence agency officials a fortnight ago, by warning of an existential threat to free and open academic inquiry, and revealing the extent of a shocking data hack of the Australian National University, where he’s vice chancellor.
The Australia National University has been the target of two significant cyber hacks, most recently in June this year, described by experts as most horrendous; The records of an estimated 200,000 past and present staff and students over two decades were stolen, including banking details, passport and tax file numbers and other sensitive data.
The cyber assault was highly sophisticated, conducted by so-called “spear-phishing” malware that didn’t require anything to be clicked on, or opened.
4…………> Trump” Will Retaliate Against China’s Trade War
President Trump pledged to retaliate after China announced plans to impose a 10% tariff on $75bn worth of goods imported from the US, the new taxes themselves a response to his plan for a 10% levy on $300bn of Chinese imports, and Wall Street share markets dived following a response to the new tax.
“Our great American companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to China, including bringing your companies home and making your products in the USA,” Mr.Trump tweeted.
“China’s new tariffs will range between 5% and 10% and will apply to more than 5,000 goods coming from the US. I will be responding to China’s tariffs this afternoon”.
Beijing will also revive a 25% tariff on US car imports that it lifted earlier in 2019 in a goodwill gesture as the two countries tried to negotiate a trade agreement.
5…………> Bank Of China: Relaxes Gold Trading
The Chinese government that had taken steps to drastically reduce the import of gold in recent months in an effort to slow capital outflows and strengthen the country’s currency, has ‘partially lifted’ restrictions on gold imports for commercial banks, as the country’s Central Bank has been on an eight month-long gold buying spree in recent months amid the escalating trade war with the US, bumping up overall state holdings to over 1,945 tonnes.
Gold prices worldwide continued their upward climb in recent weeks amid concerns over a recession in the US, and fears of the impact of the multi-trillion dollar trade spat between the economic superpowers.
Prices hit new highs for the fourth straight day in a row on Friday, with December futures reaching $1,532 in late-morning trading.
