China is reportedly working on a “ultra-large spacecraft” that would be so large that it would span entire miles, with the project is still many years out, but the National Natural Science Foundation of China is calling on scientists to figure out how to construct such a massive structure in orbit.
It’s a massive undertaking — but given the country’s space program’s huge leaps in recent years, it just may be the one place that could actually pull it off.
The point of the gigantic structure would be to provide a platform to spend more time in space. It’s one of five projects funded by the foundation, each of which will be receiving about $2.3 million, according to SCMP.

At least 90 protesters were arrested during the protests in the Belgian capital Brussels at the EU Commission building, as the police tried to disperse the crowd with tear gas and water cannon vehicles in order to prevent them from disrupting the institution.

A large number of far-right and anti-migration protesters, estimated to be around 1,000  gathered at Schuman Square to demonstrate against the UN Migration Pact, signed in an international conference in Morocco earlier this month, calling on Prime Minister Charles Michel to resign as the group also chanted slogans against the government and migration.

French police have fired tear gas across Champs-Elysees Avenue in Paris and protesters have scuffled with police outside the city’s opera house in the fifth straight weekend of protests by the ”yellow vests” movement.

There were clashes at the Paris Opera, where some demonstrators had gathered to voice their grievances, and Paris police said 85 people were detained and of those, 46 people had been arrested, with Saturday seeing mostly peaceful anti-Government protests in the French capital but groups of yellow vests tried to break through police lines.

The caper was cut short when reacting to the attack, a store employee pulled a gun at both suspects, who managed to flee the building.
