At least seven people are dead and more than 400 injured during two days of anti-government protests across Iraq, forcing Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to declare a curfew in Baghdad, preventing almost all movement in the capital until further notice.
An Interior Ministry spokesman said the seven deaths included a child killed when a protester threw a gasoline-filled bottle at a vehicle carrying civilians in Baghdad.
“We are saddened and our heart aches due to casualties among our protesting children and security forces, and the destruction of public property … we have at once started undertaking a professional investigation to determine the causes of the incidents,” Mr. Abdul-Mahdi posted on Facebook on Tuesday.

Hence Mr.Xi led the celebration, that included dancers, flag-waving veterans and many colorful floats representing county’s provinces, as the People’s Republic of China also brought out 15,000 soldiers, 580 tanks, drones, intercontinental ballistic missiles and fighter jets for its celebration of its founding.
It was the largest military parade in the country’s history, and in his speech to the nation, President Xi Jinping proclaimed, “No force can stop the Chinese people, and the Chinese nation forging ahead.”

US House Speaker Nancy, “Anyone caught urinating in front of my mansion will be deported to Arizona” Pelosi fired back at her Republican colleague who asked that the impeachment inquiry of President Trump be temporarily suspended, saying his request has no basis in the US Constitution.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the body’s top Republican, asked Pelosi to “suspend all efforts surrounding your ‘impeachment inquiry’ until transparent and equitable rules and procedures are established to govern the inquiry, as is customary.”
Nancy’s answer: “As members of Congress, we take a solemn oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” Pelosi wrote in her reply.
“The existing rules of the House provide House committees with full authority to conduct investigations for all matters under their jurisdiction, including impeachment investigations. Here is no requirement under the Constitution, under House rules, or House precedent that the whole House vote before proceeding with an impeachment inquiry.”
Pelosi announced the beginning of the probe two weeks ago, following revelations that Trump sought help with a domestic investigation from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a July phone call, and that he later directed intelligence leaders to keep a whistleblower’s report about that call from the House Intelligence Committee.
