Corona-virus cases in the US jump to 180,000, the Islamic Sheikdom of UK records its highest daily death toll for the second day in a tow, Islamic Sheikdom of Turkmenistan bans its state-controlled media from mentioning the virus at all, and the Islamic Republic of Indonesia begins its release of up to 30,000 prisoners in a bid to stem the crisis.

Corona-virus-related deaths in the state of New York are now approaching 2,000, mostly centered around New York City, with Governor Andrew Cuomo told a daily briefing that the number of corona-virus cases in New York had increased to 83,712, up from 75,795 a day earlier, with 1,941 deaths in total, up from 1,550 yesterday.

Meanwhile, thousands of passengers stuck on cruise ships near Florida are still waiting for that state and the Trump administration to strike a deal allowing them to disembark, one of the two Dutch cruise ships involved is Holland America Line’s MS Zaandam, along with its sister ship the Rotterdam, which have around 100 Australians on board.

“Not so fast”, they say since our coveted constitution is clear that the date of elections will be set by Congress, since in 1875, Congress set the date for the election in an unequivocal federal law: “The Tuesday next after the 1st Monday in November, in every even numbered year, is established as the day for the election”,the law said.

Not even martial law could keep them in office longer:

“The Supreme Court has long held that even the declaration of martial law does not change constitutional protections, and martial law is more about what happens if the courts can’t be open for business. It doesn’t take away all the other protections within the constitution”, Constitutional expert says.

An internal memo for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that even simple cloth masks could help reduce the risk of virus transmission, as President Trump has suggested that individuals could use a scarf, despite that current guidelines say that masks only need to be worn by healthcare workers, the sick, and those caring for them. There is currently a shortage of N95 and surgical masks in the US, with healthcare workers saying they have been told to reuse masks several times, or use bandanas when masks are not available, and this discussion shows the despair of US health authorities debating whether to recommend face coverings for everyone when they go out in public, courtesy of the treacherous Unified Party USA globalists exporting trillions of dollars of industry and capital to China and elsewhere during the last forty years.

There have been over 190,000 cases of corona-virus in the US, with about 4,000 deaths.

The Global air traffic has taken a nosedive near zero, leaving silence in the skies, thousands of empty airports, restaurants and hotels, declining rapidly during the corona-virus scare, with the drop affecting all regions, something never seen before. A click on flight-tracking website Flightradar24 usually shows a cloud of miniature aircraft on the interactive world map, swarming all over the globe like insects, but now an eerie picture as the swarms have all but disappeared, exactly 101 years after the world’s first international scheduled air connection in February of 1919, the new corona-virus has almost brought the world air transportation system to a virtual halt.

A group of international agencies has issued a warning that food shortages could occur worldwide if the corona-virus pandemic is not properly handled, with current infections at  one million:

“Uncertainty about food availability can spark a wave of export restrictions, creating a shortage on the global market”, said a joint statement signed by Qu ongyu, head of the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Roberto Azevedo, director of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Government lock-downs to curb the spread of the virus, which have closed national borders and kept workers at home, have created a significant lag in international food supply chains, while panic buying and hoarding has already left supermarket shelves bear in recent weeks.

The last COVID-19 development today is that  people have to wear a face mask before entering supermarkets,  by an order of the Austrian government, a part of some additional measures to contain the corona-virus outbreak:

“I am fully aware that masks are something foreign to our culture,it will be a learning phase”, said Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz at a press conference with other government officials,emphasizing that people should still keep their distance from each other, as wearing a mask can only somewhat reduce airborne transmission.

The situation in Austria at the moment is only the “calm before the storm”, he warned.
