1…………> Fighting Obama’s War: No More Silence

Drug addiction and opioid abuse are ravaging America. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have lost their lives to drug abuse.

President Trump is fighting back. In its first year, his Administration has moved quickly to answer this growing threat.

On October 26, 2017, President Trump announced that his Administration was declaring the opioid crisis a national Public Health Emergency under federal law, effective immediately. “I am directing all executive agencies to use every appropriate emergency authority to fight the opioid crisis,” the President said.

He unveiled a new website, where Americans can share their own stories about the dangers of opioid addiction. “This epidemic can affect anyone, and that’s why we want to educate everyone,” the President said at Manchester Community College in New Hampshire.

“We will work to strengthen vulnerable families and communities, and we will help to build and grow a stronger, healthier, and drug-free society,” President Trump says.

2…………> Cartel Country: Tierra Caliente, MX

Residents and authorities of the Mexican Tierra Caliente region of Guerrero are defenseless against the relentless harassment and threats of three feuding drug cartels, identified as La Familia Michoacana, Los Tequileros and the Knights Templar, whose leaders have not been apprehended by the Mexican Policia Federal.

Extortion, kidnappings, “cobro de piso” or “derecho de piso” are some of the common tools used by the criminal gangs as regular payments in exchange for allowing commercial activity to continue undisturbed.

The cartels also target municipal governments for extortion payments by demanding between 5% and 10% of the cost of infrastructure projects they carry out, according to law enforcement sources.

Violence in the region continues despite federal and state governments carrying out three massive security operations in the past four years in which the Federal Police, the army, and the National Gendarmerie have all participated.

The only question on many peoples mind is, how long will it take for the degradation and Narco Cartels induced collapse of the Mexican government to force President Trump to invade, crush the drug infrastructure and to destroy its thousands of soldiers.

3…………> Pimps “Pimped”: In Prison

Two Hyattsville, Maryland men named  Dennis Davis Jr. aka Dee, 26, and Ivan Williams aka Lucci, 28, were both sentenced to 26 years in prison for sex trafficking three minors throughout the East Coast from September through November 2016.

Davis and Williams’s pimped three underage girls while working with their convicted co-conspirators, Chelsea Canterbury aka Katt, 26, and Rebecca Hamilton aka Becca, 22, also of Hyattsville, Maryland. Davis, Williams and their co-conspirators recruited the three underage girls, whom they trafficked in numerous locations, including Northern Virginia; Richmond, Virginia; Maryland; Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, Georgia. They worked together to post online advertisements of the victims on websites such as Backpage.com offering them for commercial sex with men throughout the region; reserved hotel rooms at which they and the victims would stay when traveling to engage in commercial sex acts; drove the victims to the hotels and other locations where the commercial sex acts occurred; and collected the money given to the victims by the commercial sex customers.

4…………> The “Fado” Fad: Lisbon

“It’s all about feeling moved – whether good or bad. Fado can also make you angry or pensive if you know how to submit to the beauty of this music,” the Islamic Merkeldom of Germany’s Ruhr Valley native Telmo Pires said of using fado magic to celebrate the rich heritage of Portugal’s traditional music around the world.

“You see, I didn’t grow up in Portugal, so I only knew fado from the radio and from listening to my parents’ records. The reason I fell in love with this music was the grand voices in it – above all, Amalia Rodrigues.”

During her lifetime, Amalia Rodrigues has become the uncontested “Queen of Fado”, and her style of singing these mournful, passionate songs that goes deep in the soul of Portugal has brought her success in introducing “fado” to people around the world.
