Big wave surfer Alex Botelho was taken to hospital after dramatic incident at Nazaredent Tow Surfing Challenge, reported to be in a “stable” condition after being knocked unconscious when a wave hit his jet ski, while competing in Portugal, with waves reaching 30 feet in height.
Nazare is a notoriously dangerous big wave break, with Australian Mick Corbett describing the scene as “carnage.”

Botelho’s jet ski riding got sandwiched between huge two waves, throwing him high in the air, then a subsequent wave came crashing down as rough conditions made rescue attempts nearly impossible, with spectators looking on from the cliffs at the surfer being washed face-down toward rescuers racing out to drag him to safety.

“Big Wave Surfer Alex Botelho was involved in a very serious incident during the Nazare Tow Surfing Challenge,” a statement from the World Surf League (WSL) said.

Iran, India and Pakistan, along with military juntas in Latin America and the Vatican, were all cited as clients of the operation, but very suspicious Soviet Union and China did not buy encryption devices from Crypto AG, which kept the communist adversaries safe from the prying eyes of the West.

The avowed American communist Comrade Bernie, “Spendie” Sanders is projected to win the New Hampshire primary, and he is about to appear in front of his supporters, while the raising star of the “Gay Freedom Liberation Front”, and the first openly homosexual presidential candidate Ms. Pete Buttigieg looked ahead, saying:

‘This is our only chance. So many of you decided that a middle class mayor and a veteran from the industrial west. And we will welcome new allies to our movement at every step,” Ms. Buttigieg said to supporters in New Hampshire.

With 83% of precincts reporting, Buttigieg sits in second with 24% of the vote – just 4,500 votes behind Bernie Sanders.
