1…………> Down With Gov. Jerry Brown: Carlsbad

Carlsbad’s City Council plunged into the national “sanctuary state” issue by voting 4-1 to back the federal government’s lawsuit against California, joining three cities, National City, Chula Vista, and San Diego to support the federal law.

It was also agreed that the city should file a legal brief “when appropriate” in support of the federal action against the state’s Senate Bill 54, which prohibits local law enforcement officials from investigating arrestees’ immigration status or reporting that status to federal authorities.

“The weighing in on this is purely political, and it’s divisive,” said Councilwoman Cori Schumacher, who voted against the motion.

“Our laws are becoming more difficult to enforce. It takes many agencies working together to keep us safe,”  said Mayor Matt Hall, while Glenn Bernard, a urged the city to support the federal government, and compared sanctuary cities to the South in the Civil War.

“I cannot see the difference between a sanctuary state and a secessionist state,” Bernard said.

2…………> Get On It Or Else: Trump To DOJ

Under pressure from President Donald Trump, the Justice Department and FBI have agreed to investigate “any irregularities” in the FBI’s tactics involving the Trump campaign, suggesting that if it has planted an undercover informant in his 2016 campaign, a bubbling scandal “[If so, this is] bigger than Watergate!”

The President also said that he would formally demand the Justice Department probe the matter and determine whether “if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration”, as Representative Devin Nunes, a key Trump ally, has sought information on the alleged FBI informant, suggesting there may have been more than one person feeding information to the FBI.

“Deep State” exponent Senator Dianne Feinstein disagreed:

“The Justice Department is not an arm of the White House, it is independent and serves the American people. Its job is to follow the facts and the law. Law enforcement investigations must be initiated and carried out free from political interference.”

3…………> Israel’s New Hound Dog: F35

The US-made F-35 stealth fighter has seen its first ever combat action, flying in an operation for the Israeli air force.

Israel’s air force chief showed an image of F-35 jets, code-named in Hebrew “Adir”(Mighty), flying over Beirut, Lebanon, and said the planes had “already attacked twice on two different fronts”, a confirmation to acquire the single-seat fighter, it has received nine of the 50 F-35s, and it has so far ordered up to 75.

The plane has been heavily criticized over its price of nearly $200 million dollars,
lack of maneuverability and cockpit visibility issues.

4…………> Counterfeit Ring: Busted

Laredo, Texas ICE agents seized nearly 79,000 counterfeit items that included apparel and consumer electronics from luxury and sporting trademark designers such as Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Adidas, Nike, Apple, Samsung, and Sony, worth more than $16 million.

“Trafficking counterfeit goods pose a triple threat,” said Tim Tubbs, deputy special agent in charge of HSI Laredo. “Counterfeit merchandise wreaks havoc on local economies, threatens the health and safety of the American public, and funds criminal organizations engaged in other illegal activities.”

According to HSI, the trademark-infringed merchandise seized was shipped in large boxes from China to an international cargo terminal located in Laredo, Texas. The boxes were manifested to fictitious Laredo recipients and addresses.

5…………> Hate Crime: Kansas

Adam W. Purinton, of Olathe, Kansas, pleaded guilty in federal court to hate crime and firearm charges for shooting Indian nationals Srinivas Kuchibhotla and Alok Madasani and Kansas resident Ian Grillot at Austins Bar & Grill in Olathe February 2017, admitting crimes for which he pleaded guilty.

“Hate crimes are acts of evil, and the Department of Justice has prioritized their zealous prosecution,” said Acting Associate Attorney General Jesse Panuccio. “In this case, the defendant embarked on a murderous rampage with clear premeditation to kill on the basis of race, color, religion, and national origin. It was a hate crime, and he is being brought to justice. While we cannot ameliorate the irreparable harm to the victims and their families, we hope that securing this guilty plea brings them some measure of closure. And this prosecution sends a message across the nation: hate crimes will not be tolerated.”

1…………> Lock Horns: Mr. Xi vs Turnbull

Three Australian warships, namely HMAS “Anzac”, HMAS “Toowoomba” and HMAS “Success” were challenged by the PLA Navy as they traveled through the disputed South China Sea transiting towards Vietnam on a three-day goodwill visit in Ho Chi Minh City.
The confrontations with the People’s Liberation Army are believed to have occurred as China was conducting its largest-ever naval exercises in the hotly contested waters.

“The Australian Defence Force has maintained a robust program of international engagement with countries in and around the South China Sea for decades. This includes bilateral and multilateral military exercises, port visits, maritime surveillance operations and ship transits. As they have done for many decades, Australian vessels and aircraft will continue to exercise rights under international law to freedom of navigation and overflight, including in the South China Sea,” ,” the Aussie War Department said.

2…………> Israel’s Birthday: Happy 70th

On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion, first prime minister of Israel, declared the state’s independence, outlining the Jewish story:

“The people kept faith with (the land) throughout their Dispersion and never ceased to pray and hope for their return to it and for the restoration in it of their political freedom.”

It was the birth of an internationally recognized Jewish homeland, this year marked again with the annual Memorial Day for the “Fallen Soldiers”, then sirens sounding throughout the country at 11:00 a.m. local time on Wednesday, when even in Israel’s most vibrant cities life is being paused for two silent minutes, with cars pulling over at the side of the road and people standing still, paying their respects to the dead. The 70th Independence Day itself, however, was just beginning.

3…………> Human Rights Abusers: In ICE Jail

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers arrested 33 fugitives sought for their roles in known or suspected human rights violations during a nationwide operation this week, mostly foreign nationals who all have outstanding removal orders and are subject to repatriation to their countries of origin. Of the 33 known or suspected human rights violators arrested during Operation No Safe Haven IV, eight individuals are also criminal aliens with convictions for crimes including, but not limited to battery, weapons offenses, driving while intoxicated, and resisting arrest. This operation surpassed the number of known or suspected human rights violators arrested during the first nationwide No Safe Haven operation, which took place in September 2014.

“This operation continues ICE’s work to ensure that the United States does not serve as a safe haven for those who commit human rights violations in their countries of origin,” said Thomas D. Homan, Deputy Director of ICE. “We will continue to pursue these individuals as priorities for enforcement— using our agency’s unique authorities to investigate criminal activity and to enforce immigration laws.”

4…………> Guerero Murders: Clash With Army

Six state police officers were among 16 people killed last night in violent clashes in two municipalities in the state of Guerrero, with incidents occurring in the Costa Grande region, one in Zihuatanejo, the other in Petatlán.

“In the vicinity of El Coacoyul, a state police patrol car was attacked by about 15 armed civilians who were carrying AK-47-style assault weapons. Public security forces repelled the aggressors and killed three [gunmen],” State security spokesman Roberto Álvarez Heredia said.

He explained that the rest of the armed men then ran to a nearby hill, while the state police called for backup.

“. . . The army, the navy and ministerial police arrived at the location provoking a second confrontation that left a toll of seven civilian deaths . . .” the official said.

In the neighboring municipality of Petatlán, six state police officers were ambushed by civilians also wielding AK-47s, resulting in the deaths of all six men.

5…………> Market Report 04/19/2018, sell stop 24450, CG(9042), 11/22/17

Current position long at 24,000, sell stop at 24300 was triggered for a gain of 300 DIA points and closed. New short position established at 24,250, cover short stop at 24300 for a loss of 50 DIA points was triggered, after a market reversal due to the subsiding of fears of war between US and Russia. New position long 24100, sell stop 24450 for a gain of 350 points.

In anticipation of missile strikes against Syria market slid nearly 300 points, triggering sell stop at 24400 for a gain of 50 points, and initiating a sell short position at 24,000 with a cover short stop at 24050 for a loss of 50 DIA points.

After a sharp reversal following President Trump “mission accomplished” announcement in Syria, market opened on a gap, forcing short covering, triggering stop at 24050, leading to a loss of 50 points. New position long 24100, sell stop 24450 for a paper gain of 350 DIA points.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Stock market old timers have said that “you buy the rumor, and sell the news”, and that is exactly what is happening right now, with the news that President Trump is about to start a metal tariff war, slapping 25% surcharge on steel and 10% on aluminum. DIA resistance is in the 27,000 area, with supports at 24135, 21354 and 18900 level, US dollar in a downtrend, resistance at 1.003319 CHF, support at .92 and 0.9: Gold in an uptrend, watch break resistance of 1377 to be taken soon. The massive Fed balance sheet contraction will result in a $600 billion dollars being dumped on the credit markets each quarter, a leftover of the horrendous $4.3 trillion money printing of Obama’s septic tank that will surely exert a severe pressure on stocks and financial assets.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

We warned long ago that an organized attempt to remove President Trump from office is underway, and if this activity is not curtailed soon, the market will open on gap below 20,000 with next stop 17300 and 11800 support levels.

Stocks were down 83 to 24885, DJ futures at -24

Gold down to 1346.8 and USD/CHF up at 0.97 despite President Trump setting tariffs on Chinese products. Translation? As the dollar goes down, we have to wait and see if the new Fed Chair Jerome Powell will continue pressuring gold and the Eurasian block with it down below $1000/oz in an economic WW3. Watch sell stop at 24,450. We have to wait and see if new Fed chair Powell will attempt to destroy Eurasian block by sending gold prices below 1000, despite the fact both Russia and China have been buying their whole gold production in local gold backed currency instead of money printing machines. In other words, US has lost controls of the precious metals complex, and with Trump’s infrastructure and tax cut campaign the National debt will soon be at, or over 30 trillion dollars, since D.C. swamp alligators have no intention dropping their pet projects. Read “Ziban Must Die” for more details on the coming collision of Trump’s administration with “Deep State” operators funded by the billionaires’ supporters of the New World.

2…………> The Heat Is On: Trump

“This is about humanity and it can’t be allowed to happen. If it’s the Russians, if it’s Syria, if it’s Iran, if it’s all of them together, we’ll figure it out,” President Trump said at the White House about a decision within next 24-to-48 hours on US response to a suspected chemical attack in Syria that killed 78 civilians and injured hundreds of other victims.

What about if Russia and President Putin himself was involved?

“If he does it’s going to be very tough, very tough,” Mr. Trump said. “Everybody’s gonna pay a price. He will, everybody will.”

He insisted military action is not off the table one day after Russia’s U.S. embassy warned it “may trigger the gravest consequences”.

3…………> Viva Orban, Down With Soros: Hungary

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban, world’s harshest “Uncle” George Soros critic,  has claimed victory in the Hungarian election after his campaign focused nearly exclusively on demonizing migration and a conspiracy theory.

Critics fear that intensify attacks on immigration, on closing “loopholes” exploited by asylum-seeker advocates, and
on a conspiracy theory that the European Union, the United Nations, and wealthy hedge fund manager George Soros wanted to turn Hungary into an “immigrant country”, an allegation that struck a nerve with rural voters.

“We created the opportunity to defend Hungary. A great battle is behind us. We have achieved a decisive victory,” Mr.Orban said.

4…………> Sino-Philippine Union: Collecting The Cash

While majority of the so-called 1st world countries are busy throwing chairs, trash cans and ladders at each other in a never-ending trek for a world domination, the very smart Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said that he foresees the relations between China and the Philippines to “bloom into something like a big and beautiful flower”,  clearly suggesting that his friendship with President Mr. Xi will literally “gold plate” his country, aka “The Jewel of the Orient”

“The interconnectivity of our countries on all aspects of governance will come in, and we are ready to cooperate and help each other,” Duterte said.

He said the Philippines’ destiny is in Asia.

“Asia’s growth is expected to continue to rise to 2050 and account for more than half of the world’s gross domestic product.”

“We must, therefore, continue our efforts to broaden and deepen the Philippines’ economic engagement and cooperation with our friends and neighbors. To make lives of our people more comfortable, we must harness the potential of shared growth in our region,” Mr. Duterte concluded.
