1…………> Putin To Trump: “We Are In Idlib”

Russian fighter jets attacked west of Idlib and north of Hama, bombing civilian residential areas in Jisr al-Shughur City; areas of Basanqul, Ghani, Innab, Sirmaniyah, west of Idlib; Zayzun area, north of Hama; as well as the Assad’s opposition’s frontlines.

Twenty attacks were carried out by three Russian warplanes, which took off from Hmeimim airbase. The attacks are continuing, with the number of casualties still unknown, and despite a stern warning by President  Trump.

He tweeted:

“President Bashar al-Assad of Syria must not recklessly attack Idlib Province. The Russians and Iranians would be making a grave humanitarian mistake to take part in this potential human tragedy. Hundreds of thousands of people could be killed. Don’t let that happen!”

Responding to Trump’s tweet, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said it was “necessary to deal with the problem” in Idlib.

“The situation in Idlib continues to be a topic of special concern in Moscow, Damascus, Ankara, and Tehran.” He said terrorists in the region were sending drones to Russian military bases posing “a significant threat”, he added.

2…………> Churchill’s Bungles: A Century Later

The current Trump administration’s diplomatic skirmish with Turkey is reminiscent of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s “bungles” during World War I which resulted in the Ottoman Empire joining the war on the side of Imperial Germany, according to a U.S. expert.

Martin Sieff, who worked as a senior correspondent for United Press International and The Washington Times for 24 years and also appeared on CNN, NPR, Fox News and BBC as a commentator, made the remarks in an article published on the U.S.-based Strategic Culture Foundation’s website.

“Today, Washington’s reckless and abusive policies towards Turkey are repeating the catastrophic bungles that Churchill inflicted more than a century ago. Repeating Churchill’s Bungles: Will US Drive Turkey into Joining the Shanghai Pact?” he wondered.

4…………> Hoarding Gold,Dumping Dollars: India

Due to the relentless US sanctions levied on countries around the world, and corresponding unwillingness to hold US dollar nominated securities due to fears of Forex market interventions, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), a major member of the BRICK Block purchased 8.46 metric tons of gold during the last fiscal year (April 2017 to March 2018).

In its annual report, the RBI revealed that it had 566.23 metric tons of gold as of June 30, 2018, compared to 557.77 metric tons in June 30, 2017, indicating that the bank had purchased gold for the first time since 2009 when it had acquired 200 metric tons of the precious metal following America’s sub-prime crisis.

“Diversification of India’s Foreign Currency Assets continued during the year [2017-18] with attention being ascribed to risk management, including cybersecurity risk. The gold portfolio has also been activated,” the report added.

5…………> Rio Museum Reduced To Ashes: Fire

The National Museum of Brazil, a cherished historical repository build in 1818 that lacked a sprinkler system and had suffered years of financial neglect, was destroyed by fire, sparking angry protests on the streets of Rio de Janeiro as police in riot gear shot tear gas into an angry crowd that tried to enter the site,

” The rumbling tensions reflect anger over the destruction  of the much-loved yet old museum, which suffered from declining federal funding. The museum’s decline did not happen overnight,” said Renato Rodriguez Cabral, a teacher in the geology and paleontology department.

“This was a tragedy foretold. Successive governments would not provide funds; they would not invest in infrastructure.”

2…………> The Heat Is On: Trump

“This is about humanity and it can’t be allowed to happen. If it’s the Russians, if it’s Syria, if it’s Iran, if it’s all of them together, we’ll figure it out,” President Trump said at the White House about a decision within next 24-to-48 hours on US response to a suspected chemical attack in Syria that killed 78 civilians and injured hundreds of other victims.

What about if Russia and President Putin himself was involved?

“If he does it’s going to be very tough, very tough,” Mr. Trump said. “Everybody’s gonna pay a price. He will, everybody will.”

He insisted military action is not off the table one day after Russia’s U.S. embassy warned it “may trigger the gravest consequences”.

3…………> Viva Orban, Down With Soros: Hungary

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban, world’s harshest “Uncle” George Soros critic,  has claimed victory in the Hungarian election after his campaign focused nearly exclusively on demonizing migration and a conspiracy theory.

Critics fear that intensify attacks on immigration, on closing “loopholes” exploited by asylum-seeker advocates, and
on a conspiracy theory that the European Union, the United Nations, and wealthy hedge fund manager George Soros wanted to turn Hungary into an “immigrant country”, an allegation that struck a nerve with rural voters.

“We created the opportunity to defend Hungary. A great battle is behind us. We have achieved a decisive victory,” Mr.Orban said.

4…………> Sino-Philippine Union: Collecting The Cash

While majority of the so-called 1st world countries are busy throwing chairs, trash cans and ladders at each other in a never-ending trek for a world domination, the very smart Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said that he foresees the relations between China and the Philippines to “bloom into something like a big and beautiful flower”,  clearly suggesting that his friendship with President Mr. Xi will literally “gold plate” his country, aka “The Jewel of the Orient”

“The interconnectivity of our countries on all aspects of governance will come in, and we are ready to cooperate and help each other,” Duterte said.

He said the Philippines’ destiny is in Asia.

“Asia’s growth is expected to continue to rise to 2050 and account for more than half of the world’s gross domestic product.”

“We must, therefore, continue our efforts to broaden and deepen the Philippines’ economic engagement and cooperation with our friends and neighbors. To make lives of our people more comfortable, we must harness the potential of shared growth in our region,” Mr. Duterte concluded.
