Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) for immigration violations turned over to Indian authorities an individual named Ubaidullah Abdulrashid Radiowala, also known as Obed Radiowala, who is wanted in his home country on attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, extortion, forgery, cheating, theft, abetment use and possession of illegal firearms, and transmission of information by using the internet to form an organized crime syndicate.

“This individual’s long list of criminal charges in his home country, including attempted murder, show that he was a danger to the community here in the US,” an ICE official said.

“The courageous and targeted efforts of our officers show our ongoing commitment to public safety,” the officer concluded.

A federal criminal indictment unsealed today in the Western District of North Carolina charges the founder and Chairman of a multinational investment company, a company consultant and two North Carolina political figures with public corruption and bribery, for their alleged participation in a bribery scheme involving independent expenditure accounts and improper campaign contributions.

The indictment charges Greg E. Lindberg, 48, of Durham, North Carolina, and founder and Chairman of Eli Global LLC (Eli Global) and the owner of Global Bankers Insurance Group (GBIG); John D. Gray, 68, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and a consultant for Lindberg; North Carolina state political party Chairman Robert Cannon Hayes, 73, of Concord, North Carolina; and Chairman of a Chatham County political party and an Eli Global executive John V. Palermo, 63, of Pittsboro, North Carolina, with conspiracy to commit honest services wire fraud, and bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds and aiding and abetting.

“The indictment unsealed today outlines a brazen bribery scheme in which Greg Lindberg and his coconspirators allegedly offered hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions in exchange for official action that would benefit Lindberg’s business interests,” said Assistant Attorney General Benczkowski.

A devious woman named Yujing Zhang, 32, carrying two Chinese passports, a device containing computer malware confused Secret Service agents and gained admission to President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort during his Florida visit by approaching a Secret Service agent at a checkpoint outside the Palm Beach club, claiming that she was a member who wanted to use the pool.

The club manager admitted her, thinking that she may have been related to a member, but the different stories told  to staff members and Secret Service agents raised suspicion, hence the intruder was arrested and charged with making false statements and entering a restricted area.
