3…………> Crooked SS Number/US Citizenship: Nebraska Cholo

U.S. District Court Judge Laurie Smith Camp sentenced Sebastian Velasquez-Ramos, 47, to 28 months in federal prison following his criminal convictions for fraudulently using a Social Security card, falsely claiming U.S. citizenship, and aggravated identity theft. Velasquez-Ramos previously pleaded guilty to the charges.

An investigation determined that in 2017, Velasquez-Ramos used a false social security number, and he falsely claimed that he was a U.S. citizen to obtain employment at an Omaha company.

Velasquez-Ramos is also currently serving a separate prison sentence following a state conviction for leaving the scene of a fatal multi-vehicle crash. In April 2018, Velasquez-Ramos fatally hit a motorcyclist in Omaha and left the scene of the crash.

The 28-month federal sentence is to be served consecutively to the state sentence Velasquez-Ramos is now serving. In addition to his federal prison sentence, he must also complete three years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal prison system.

4…………> Legal Drug Cartel Pushers Slammed: Huge Fines

Opioid manufacturer Insys Therapeutics agreed to a global resolution to settle the government’s separate criminal and civil investigations, the Department of Justice announced today.

As part of the criminal resolution, Insys will enter into a deferred prosecution agreement with the government, Insys’s operating subsidiary will plead guilty to five counts of mail fraud, and the company will pay a $2 million fine and $28 million in forfeiture.

As part of the civil resolution, Insys agreed to pay $195 million to settle allegations that it violated the False Claims Act. Both the criminal and civil investigations stemmed from Insys’s payment of kickbacks and other unlawful marketing practices in connection with the marketing of Subsys.

Insys’s drug Subsys is a sublingual fentanyl spray, a powerful, but highly addictive, opioid painkiller. In 2012, Subsys was approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of persistent breakthrough pain in adult cancer patients who are already receiving, and tolerant to, around-the-clock opioid therapy.

90% of the Drugs coming into the United States come through Mexico & our Southern Border. 80,000 people died last year, 1,000,000 people ruined. This has gone on for many years & nothing has been done about it. We have a 100 Billion Dollar Trade Deficit with Mexico. It’s time!

In order not to pay Tariffs, if they start rising, companies will leave Mexico, which has taken 30% of our Auto Industry, and come back home to the USA. Mexico must take back their country from the drug lords and cartels. The Tariff is about stopping drugs as well as illegals!

2…………> LA Bogus Checks Mill: Losses In The Millions

Federal authorities this morning arrested eight people named in a federal grand jury indictment that alleges check-kiting schemes that used hundreds of altered Armenian passports to fraudulently open bank accounts and steal nearly $1.5 million from Bank of America and Wells Fargo. A ninth defendant in this case is currently being sought by authorities.

The 36-count indictment unsealed today alleges that the defendants used the bank accounts, which were opened in the names that appeared on the altered passports, to write bad checks to other fraudulently obtained bank accounts, exploiting bank rules to transfer money from one account to another, and then to immediately withdraw funds at ATMs in Las Vegas casinos and other locations before the checks bounced.

ICE found that the defendants obtained genuine Armenian passports issued to other people, altered the passports to include the photos of the defendants, and used the fraudulent documents to obtain other identity documents and to open bank accounts at the victim banks.

The indictment charges all of the defendants with conspiracy to commit bank fraud, a charge that carries a statutory maximum penalty of 30 years in federal prison.

3…………> Guatemalan Human Rights Violator Arrested: ICE

Foreign national identified as Francisco Cuxum Alvarado, a/k/a Francisco Cuxun-Alvarado, 64, wanted in Guatemala for participating in mass sexual assault of indigenous women charged for his role in the 1980s massacre of indigenous Guatemalans, and with illegal re-entry into the United States in federal court in Boston on May 29 after being apprehended by ICE.

“Mr. Cuxum Alvarado is in Massachusetts illegally, evading accountability for human rights violations in Guatemala, said United States Attorney Andrew E Lelling while announcing the details of the case in Boston.

While many immigrants come to this country seeking a better life, Mr. Cuxum Alvarado came here illegally, to escape a dark, criminal past. This case highlights the important work of ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations in identifying and removing war criminals, human rights violators, and other dangerous aliens who illegally seek a safe haven in the United States.

It is alleged that Cuxum Alvarado was a member of the PAC in Rabinal, and in 1998, was named as a suspect in the March 13, 1982, massacre of women and children at Cerro Pacoxom. In 2018, the Guatemalan government charged Cuxum Alvarado with crimes against humanity for participating in the mass sexual assault of Maya Achi women in and around Rabinal. In connection with the charges, the Guatemalan government obtained an INTERPOL Red Notice for Cuxum Alvarado’s arrest, which is a request to law enforcement agencies worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest suspects pending extradition to the jurisdiction in which they are charged. Cuxum Alvarado will be subject to extradition to Guatemala.

4…………> Mexico Wouldn’t Budge: President Obrador

Andrés Manuel López Obrador said social problems could not be resolved with tariffs, in a reply to “immigrant tariffs” levied on his country:

“President Trump: Social problems are not resolved with tariffs or coercive measures,” as President Trump’s unleashed his latest attack on Mexico, after US border authorities in El Paso, Texas, detained a group of more than 1,000 migrants, the largest ever, with White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders saying that Mexico could have done more to stop the group as they travelled through the country:

With all due respect, although you have the sovereign right to express this, the slogan ‘United States [America] First’ is a fallacy because, until the end of time, and even over and above national frontiers, universal justice and fraternity will prevail“.

I want to insist that we are not going to fall into any provocations, that we are going to act prudently with respect to the authorities of the United States [and] with respect to President Donald Trump,” he said

In a letter to his US counterpart, Mr López Obrador said Mexico was complying with its responsibility to avoid “as far as possible and without violating human rights, the passage [of migrants] through our country“.

I want to insist that we are not going to fall into any provocations, that we are going to act prudently with respect to the authorities of the United States [and] with respect to President Donald Trump,” he said.

4…………> Jaws Is Back: Cape Cod

Last summer two people were mauled by a great white of Cape Cod, one of whom Arthur Medici, 26, died of his injuries, after being attacked while using a boogie-board at Newcomb Hollow Beach near Well fleet.

His death was the first fatal shark attack in Massachusetts since 1936.

His aunt, Marisa Medici, said she had begged him not to go in the water after 61-year-old William Lytoon was bitten by a shark just a few feet from the shore at Truro.

Always I asked him, ‘Don’t go. Please, don’t go.’ He’d say, ‘Aunt, they’re not going to bite me. The sharks don’t bite me. I’m Superman!’ He was always making jokes about himself. And when it happened, I couldn’t believe it was him, that it happened to us,” she told the Boston Herald.
