1…………> A Warm, Barbed Wire Welcome: US/Mexico Border

.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said it would close lanes at the San Ysidro and Otay Mesa crossings from Tijuana into California to allow the Department of Defence to install barbed wire and position barricades and fencing at the country’s southern border, as hundreds of Central American migrants planning to seek asylum in the country reached one of Mexico’s northern-most cities.

About 400 migrants reach the border city of Tijuana, but thousands more are expected, as transgender asylum seeker says she would instead be detained in the US than sent home

Human rights organizations said larger groups were scheduled to arrive in the coming days, as DOD Jim Mattis said he would inspect the area, which would be his first visit since the military announced that over 7,000 US troops would go to the city as the caravan of mostly Hondurans made its way through Mexico.

“This the deadliest fire in the wildland fire history of the United States,” said Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea at a news conference.

4…………> On Mission To Kill Cops: Canadian IS

.

.Amor M. Ftouhi, 51, of Quebec, Canada, was found guilty of three crimes, including an act of terrorism transcending national boundaries, in conjunction with an attack on a Bishop Airport officer in Flint, Michigan on June 21, 2017. “Ftouhi conducted research in Canada and entered our country with a plan to obtain a weapon and kill American police officers. With today’s guilty verdict, he will be held accountable for his brutal knife attack on an airport police officer in Flint,” said Assistant Attorney General Demers. “I want to thank the prosecutors and law enforcement partners who made this result possible. The National Security Division remains committed to holding accountable all who seek to carry out terrorist attacks on our soil and target our men and women in uniform.” According to evidence presented at trial, Ftouhi entered the United States from Canada on a “mission” to kill American police officers in the United States. Before entering the United States on June 16, 2017, while in Canada, Ftouhi conducted online research of American gun laws and for gun shows in Michigan. Ftouhi subsequently traveled to Michigan where he was unsuccessful in repeated attempts to purchase a gun and purchased a knife instead. On June 20, 2017, Ftouhi walked up to the victim, who is a lieutenant with the Flint Bishop Airport police and was in full uniform, and stabbed the police officer in the neck twice with a knife. Ftouhi referenced killings in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and yelled “Allahu Akbar.” After his arrest, Ftouhi told law enforcement that he was a “soldier of Allah,” subscribed to the ideology of Al Qaeda and Usama bin Laden and that he had planned to kill the victim, steal his gun, and kill other police officers in the airport.

2…………> Goodbye Plastics: Welcome Potato Peels

A company trying to change “the plastic Holocaust” of our planet is Biome Bioplastics, which has developed a fully compostable and recyclable cup using natural materials such as potato starch, corn starch, and cellulose, the main constituent of plant cell walls. Most traditional plastics are made from oil.

We can all pray that the plastic waste that is clogging the landmass and oceans of our planet will soon be thing of the past, and so will be the “Global Warming” due to greenhouse gas emissions.

4…………> Cut The Cord: Trump

“Non-citizens who receive public benefits are not self-sufficient and are relying on the U.S. government and state and local entities for resources instead of their families, sponsors or private organizations,” a draft released by Trump administration describes yet another effort to reduce legal immigration, by denying permanent residence to hundreds of thousands of foreigners living legally in the United States.

DHS is proposing to deny “green cards” to legal immigrants and their children if they receive federal or state aid — even if the children are U.S.-born.

5…………> The Wall: Emperor Trump

“The walls were so high we had to suspend testing. It was unsafe. One guy made it to the top but he couldn’t get down. We had to bring him down with a cherry picker,”  that is how one Homeland Security official in Washington described to Fox News attempts by Special Forces tactical units who spent weeks trying to breach and climb Trump’s border wall prototypes — and they found it nearly impossible to scale.

Eight prototypes of President Trump’s long-promised border wall,
made out of concrete, steel, and other materials, and designed to withstand even the most persistent breaching violators stand in San Diego, California, at the Otay Mesa port of entry, a monument of a nation determined to take control of its rightful borders.
