A Nigerian man pleaded guilty today for his role in a durable medical equipment (DME) scheme that fraudulently billed more than $8 million dollars to Medicare for DME that was not medically necessary, when Mr.Fatunmbi and a co-conspirator wrote checks from Lutemi’s bank account to Lutemi employees and others, with instructions that those monies be returned to him to pay the illegal cash kickbacks to the patient recruiters and doctors, he admitted.

Fadojutimi was found guilty after a jury trial on July 31, 2014, of one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud, seven counts of health care fraud and one count of money laundering, and sentenced to four years in prison and restitution in the amount of $4,372,466.

The US House judiciary committee voted 24-16 along party lines to refer a contempt citation against the attorney general for a full House vote, putting forward the measure after Mr. Barr did not comply with a legal order to release the Mueller report without the redactions, forcing him to formally ask the president to assert his right to executive privilege to stop the unredacted version of the report being released.

He will be expected to answer questions about testimony he gave to the Senate Judiciary Committee in September 2017, which was later contradicted by the president’s former lawyer Michael Cohen, a board certified liar who is currently serving a sentence on variety of felonies.

Since transport and logistical issues are a major roadblock to completing transplant surgeries, a drone delivered a kidney to a Baltimore hospital, where doctors then successfully transplanted the organ into a patient, with Surgeon Joseph Scalea saying technology like this could make up to 2,500 kidneys available per year.

The drone was also set up to monitor the organ’s health during the flight, in the first live test of the kidney-carrying aircraft, designed by doctors and engineers at the University of Maryland to help speed up the transfer of organs.

The three miles trek took just under 10 minutes, but Joseph Scalea, a University of Maryland Medical Centre transplant surgeon, said it represented the potential for many more lives to be saved in the future.

Shelley M Richmond Joseph, 51, of Natick, who was appointed as a Massachusetts District Court Judge in November 2017, and Wesley MacGregor, 56, of Watertown, a former Trial Court Officer since 1993, were indicted on one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice and two counts of obstruction of justice – aiding and abetting.

Prior to the afternoon session, the courtroom clerk – at Joseph’s direction – allegedly instructed the ICE officer to leave the courtroom and wait outside in the lobby, stating that in the event that the defendant was released, it would be through the courtroom and into the lobby.

MacGregor was also charged with perjury for falsely testifying before a federal grand jury on July 12, 2018, that, prior to releasing the defendant from the sally-port exit, he was unaware that ICE agents were in the Courthouse and that there was a detainer for the defendant.

The charges of conspiracy to obstruct justice and obstruction of a federal proceeding – aiding and abetting provide for sentences of no greater than 20 and five years in prison, respectively; five and three years of supervised release, respectively; and a fine of $250,000.

Two owners of an Arizona business were charged in an indictment unsealed today for overseeing a scheme to forge hundreds of thousands of counterfeit documents containing improperly obtained personal information, primarily relating to senior citizens, which they allegedly sold to their clients, who then allegedly provided this information to telemarketers.

The indictment further alleges that Pavone and DiPrima directed a team of employees and associates to write the personal information of the victims onto the counterfeit sweepstakes forms, even though the victims had not agreed to this use, and even though many of the victims had never responded to a sweepstakes mailing.

DiPrima, 49, of Penfield, New York, were charged in an indictment filed on April 23, 2019 in the District of Arizona with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, one count of wire fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit identity theft, seven counts of identity theft, and seven counts of aggravated identity theft.

The indictment alleges that beginning in approximately 2013, Pavone and DiPrima acquired lists of names and contact information for thousands of people—primarily senior citizens—and used this information to create fake sweepstakes leads, which they then sold to their clients as authentic.
