3…………> Hurricane Dorian: The Peaceful Look Of Danger

Incredible photos from within the eye of Hurricane Dorian give us  a glimpse of tranquillity as fears of destruction increase in the United States, courtesy of US Air Force Lieutenant Garrett Black, with photos showing perfectly blue sky and sun shining through a perfect ring of white cloud within, as Hurricane Hunters — also known as the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, an official branch of the US Air Force Reserve — posted more photos from within the hurricane, this time at night.

The slow-moving hurricane is believed to be heading north towards the east coast of the US, with the Bahamas and eventually Florida said to be in a potential flight path.

It has already made landfall in the Abaco Islands, in the Bahamas, with winds of 2oo mph and gusts of more than 240 mph.

In Florida, several counties have issued partial mandatory evacuation orders.

4…………> US-ASEAN Naval Drills: At PLA Doorsteps

US will conduct naval exercises with a coalition of Southeast Asian countries amid tensions over territory in the South China Sea, with Navy saying the drills will help “maintain maritime security.”

“Joint US-ASEAN naval exercises started Monday at the Sattahip Naval Base in Thailand, with eight warships, four aircraft and over 1,000 military personnel from the US and 10 Southeast Asian countries taking part in five days of drills and tests.”

The Asean-US Maritime Exercise (AUMX) is taking place as the US increases its engagement in the South China Sea amid Chinese territorial claims and tensions between Beijing and Southeast Asian nations.

Parts of the South China Sea are claimed by Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines, while China says most of the waters are part of its territory

Social media member reported 34 people dead on the boat, but the information hasn’t been confirmed by the Coast Guard, which promised to provide information later, citing the ongoing “operation.”
