Government health care and scientific sectors experts criticized France’s inadequate Covid-19 response for those living in care homes, noting people over 85 were worse affected in their home country than in Britain or the United States, with the report also pointing out that the mortality rate was “well above the European average”. Five experts heard from around 200 representatives of the French government, the health care system and the scientific community to prepare the report, which was made public on Tuesday. It specifically criticized the government for not providing enough care for older adults living in retirement homes.

PADUCAH, Ky. — A federal grand jury returned an indictment against a previously convicted sex offender, identified as Kenneth Swartz, 63, of Eddyville, Kentucky, charging him with possession of child pornography and being a felon in possession of a firearm, with the announcement was made by the acting U.S. attorney for the western district of Kentucky, following Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) conducted investigation along with Eddyville Police Department, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, and Paducah Police Department.
According to an April 2021, criminal complaint, law enforcement officials opened an investigation into after receiving a complaint alleging that he attempted to photograph a minor while shopping at a local store in May 2020. Eddyville Police Department confirmed the events after reviewing store security footage. During the execution of a search warrant on Swartz’s residence, law enforcement recovered a Savage Arms, Stevens model 94 shotgun and several cell phones. In June 2020, law enforcement became aware that Swartz possessed an additional cell phone.
