LOS ANGELES – A Santa Clarita Valley man, identified as Hassan Kanyike, 29, of Santa Clarita, pleaded guilty to perpetrating a scheme to fraudulently obtain approximately $1.8 million in COVID-19 relief guaranteed by the Small Business Administration (SBA) through the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), with the case being the result of an investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Los Angeles’ El Camino Real Financial Crimes Task Force and the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration.

He admitted submitting six fraudulent PPP loan and two fraudulent EIDL applications, seeking funds to purportedly pay the salaries of employees whom he claimed worked for two of his businesses, successfully obtaining about $1 million through four PPP loans, and another $300,000 through two EIDL loans.

Germany’s permanent vaccine commission, known by the short name Stiko, published new guidelines recommending that the AstraZeneca vaccine be issued only to people older than 60, as Bavaria’s state premier Markus Söder spoke rather frankly amid the latest confusion surrounding the serum:

“At some point with AstraZeneca specifically we might have to operate with a lot of freedom: whoever wants to and whoever dares to, so to speak, should have the opportunity,” he said.

“With AstraZeneca it seems some new problem or other should be expected daily. And honestly you sense that in the broader public perception as well.”

Söder said the decision was made “on the basis of currently available data on the occurrence of rare, but very serious thrombosis-related side-effects,” and that the commission would issue guidelines on what to do for adults under 60 who had received a first AstraZeneca shot, and were due another by the end of April.

“As a precautionary measure, we are continuing to test all staff that have worked in ward 5D at PA Hospital between midday Friday, March 19 and 4:00pm Sunday, March 28.”

“It is critical for independent experts to have full access to all pertinent human, animal and environmental data, research, and personnel involved in the early stages of the outbreak relevant to determining how this pandemic emerged,” said the statement, without explicitly criticizing China.

It is said the lady, who is now being treated a local hospital, was on her way to church when attacked.

The incident was caught on nearby security cameras, causing outrage among journalists and observers, who pointed out that a witness and security guards in a nearby building did nothing to stop the assailant, while one of the building’s staffers had simply closed the door on the victim as she was laying on the ground following the assailant casually walking away from his victim.

The 2021 season in the city of Kyoto peaked on 26 March, according to data collected by Osaka University. Increasingly early flowerings in recent decades are likely to be as a result of climate change, scientists say. The records from Kyoto go back to 812 AD in imperial court documents and diaries.

The previous record there was set in 1409, when the season reached its peak on 27 March.
