A former Pineville, Missouri pastor, identified as Ryan Daniel Crawford, 33, of Austin, Arkansas, was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison without parole, and to pay 2,500 in restitution to one of the victims of his molestation, followed by a 20 years supervised release following incarceration.

On Sept. 16, 2019, Crawford pleaded guilty to one count of producing child pornography, admitting that he had touched the 9-year-old victim’s genitals with his hands, and that he had photographed her genitals with his cell phone while she was sleeping.

Investigators located sexually explicit images of the child victim on Crawford’s cell phone, while he was the assistant pastor at First Baptist Church in Pineville for approximately seven years until his arrest on state charges in 2017.

Seven people were shot, and at least one is in critical condition after protests in Louisville, Kentucky, following the killing of Breonna Taylor, 26, a black woman who was fatally shot dead in her apartment by police in March, as public scrutiny over the case intensified after her family sued the city’s police department, leading to today’s protests by some 500 to 600 demonstrators marching in Kentucky to call for justice.

Today’s event comes as rioters set a police station in Minneapolis on fire after the death of an African-American man George Floyd, who was seen on video gasping for air while a white police officer knelt on his neck.

Ms. Taylor, a 26-year-old emergency medical technician, was shot eight times on March 13 after Louisville narcotics detectives knocked down the front door, but further investigation found no  drugs in the home.

Louisville Metro Police confirmed in a statement early on Friday (local time) there were at least seven shooting victims, at least one of whom was in critical condition, but the police said they did not fire any shots in the incident but had made some arrests.

Researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences have come up with a clever way to deflect asteroids from Earth by having unmanned vehicles collide with the threatening rocky bodies at high speeds to kick-them-out off their trajectory toward our celestial paradise.

Asteroids are mostly small, rocky objects that orbit the sun, part of what is labeled as the Kuiper Belt, with very dangerous asteroids being few, and years apart,  but some asteroids that collide with Earth every 1,000 to 10,000 years have the potential to obliterate entire cities, and even change the climatic pattern, hence  scientists have long sought a way to prevent asteroids from hitting Earth.

The researchers used a computer simulation to test an enhanced kinetic impactor, or EKI, make-believed launched into space on October 7, 2021, on a Long March 5 rocket, in order to predict the EKI crashing into a near-Earth asteroid, known as Apophis, at a high speed of more than 28,000 miles/per hour, causing the asteroid to be deflected away from Earth.
