After a total of 128 UN members voted in favor of an resolution condemning US recognition of Israel, while nine countries voted against it and 35 others abstained, U.S. will reduce its funding of the UN by $285 million for the coming fiscal year, its envoy to the UN announced late Sunday.
“The inefficiency and overspending of the United Nations are well known. We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked,” Nikki Haley said in a statement.

After Tropical Storm Tembin left more than 200 people dead and caused millions in property damages in the Philippines, Vietnam disaster prevention committee said 74,000 people had been moved to safety from vulnerable areas, while authorities in 15 provinces and cities were prepared to move more than a million people to higher ground. The government ordered oil rigs and vessels be protected and warned that about 62,000 fishing boats should not venture out to sea.
“Vietnam must ensure the safety of its oil rigs and vessels. If necessary, close the oil rigs and evacuate workers,” Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said on a government website.

Bannon said it was Kushner “Pushner” who encouraged Trump to fire FBI director James Comey, labeling it as the “dumbest political decision in modern political history, bar none,” Bannon insisted, calling it a “self-inflicted wound of massive proportions.”
