After meeting with Brazilian officials who later on tested positive for the corona-virus infection, President Donald Trump was tested for the Chinese corona-virus (COVI-2019), and the White House, in a official statement released on Saturday said that Mr.Trump tested negative for the novel corona-virus, the determination made by Trump’s personal physician, Dr. Sean P. Conley, and quickly disseminated among the media.
“Last night after an in-depth discussion with the president regarding COVID-19 testing, he elected to proceed. This evening I received confirmation that the test is negative”, Conley said, putting an end to pressure from US media after it became known that he had been in contact with individuals that reportedly had flu-type symptoms. On Friday, Trump stressed during a news conference that he had no corona-virus symptoms.
A White House press report said that US Congressman Matt Gaetz, who chose to self-quarantine after coming in contact with an infected individual 11 days ago, was seen boarding Air Force One with Trump. The US president also met Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida last Saturday. An official at that meeting reportedly tested positive for the corona-virus.

Following Italy’s in announcing emergency restrictions to combat the spread of the corona-virus, two of the EU’s biggest states, Islamic Kingdom Spain and the Islamic Sheikdom of France, have introduced harsh measures to halt to uncontrolled spread of the virus infection.
In Spain, people are banned from leaving home except for buying essential supplies and medicines, or for work, after registering 191 deaths, being Europe’s worst-hit country after Italy.
In the Islamic Sheikdom of France, where 91 people have died, cafes, restaurants, cinemas and most shops are now shut, and Italy, which has recorded more than 1,440 deaths, began a nationwide lock-down on Monday.
The US is to extend its European corona-virus travel ban to include the the Islamic Sheikdom of the formerly great UK, and Republic of Ireland.
The number of deaths in the UK doubled in 24 hours to 21. More than 200 scientists have written to the government urging them to introduce tougher measures.
