2…………> New Trump Soldier: AG Barr

Saying that Mr. Barr was “my first choice from day one,” President Trump gave the nod to former US attorney-general William Barr to lead once again the Justice Department, a role that would put him in charge of the federal probe into Russian election interference.

If confirmed by the Senate, Mr. Barr would take over from Matthew Whitaker, who has been serving in an acting capacity since Mr. Trump forced out Jeffrey Sessions a month ago. Mr. Whitaker had been Mr. Sessions’s chief of staff.

Mr. Barr, a lawyer who was previously attorney-general from 1991 to 1993 under late president George HW Bush, had defended Mr. Trump’s controversial decision to fire then-FBI director James Comey in May 2017 when Mr. Comey was leading the Russia probe.

3…………> Applied Global Warming: Deadly India Pollution

India is home to the world’s 14 most polluted cities, whose toxic atmosphere claimed 1.24 million lives in 2017, or 12.5 % of total deaths recorded that year, with about 670,000 deaths caused by air pollution in the broader India’s areas, where more than 51% of the people who died being younger than 70.

The Indian capital, New Delhi was the epicenter of the tiny particulate matte PM 2.5, that can reach deep into the lungs and cause significant health problems, the study concluded.

4…………> Paris On Fire: Ayatollah Macron AWOL

89,000 police are deployed across the Islamic Sheikdom of France, with 8,000 in Paris alone as protests also spread to Belgium, with Prime Minister Charles Michel joining Grand Rabbinical Ayatollah President Emmanuel Macron as the target of frustrations by the “Yellow vests” who are demanding lower taxes, higher salaries and cheaper energy cost.

Authorities said 575 people had been searched and briefly arrested and that 361 of them remained in custody after police found potential weapons such as hammers, baseball bats and metal petanque balls on them.

Hundreds of protesters were milling around the Arc de Triomphe monument, which was defaced with anti-Macron graffiti last Saturday when rioters also torched dozens of cars and looted shops in the worst rioting in Paris since May 1968.

5…………> A Leading Space Explorer: China

After landing its “Jade Rabbit” rover on the Moon five years ago and planning to send its Chang’e 5 probes there next year and have it return to Earth with samples, China has launched a ground-breaking mission to land a spacecraft on the mostly unexplored far side of the Moon, demonstrating its growing ambitions as a space power to rival Russia, the European Union and US.

A Long March 3B rocket carrying the lunar probe Chang’e 4 blasted from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province in south-western China, placing in orbit the lander-rover combination designed to explore above and below the lunar surface during its 27-day journey to the South Pole-Aitken basin’s of the Von Karman crater.

The Moon’s far side is also known as the dark side because it faces away from Earth and remains comparatively unknown. It has a different composition to sites on the near side, where previous missions have landed.

I will be interviewed by Chris Wallace on at 2:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. Enjoy!

The Mayor of Tijuana, Mexico, just stated that “the City is ill-prepared to handle this many migrants, the backlog could last 6 months.” Likewise, the U.S. is ill-prepared for this invasion, and will not stand for it. They are causing crime and big problems in Mexico. Go home!

So funny to see little Adam Schitt (D-CA) talking about the fact that Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker was not approved by the Senate, but not mentioning the fact that Bob Mueller (who is highly conflicted) was not approved by the Senate!

2…………> “Indiana Jones” Of Art: Priceless Mosaic

.

The Byzantine depiction of Saint Mark was stolen in the 1970s from Panayia-Kanakaria church, about 65 miles north-east of the Cypriot capital, Nicosia, just to be found by a man nicknamed “the Indiana Jones of the art world” who rose to fame recovering stolen artwork since 2015 when he found Hitler’s Horses – two Nazi statues that stood outside Hitler’s office.

Finding the 1,600-year-old piece in a flat in Monaco had felt very special, Dutchman Arthur Brand said, handing the work over to the Cypriot embassy in the Hague.

AB-52H Stratofortress takes off during exercise Global Thunder 19 at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., Nov. 4, 2018.

Global Thunder is a U.S. Strategic Command exercise designed to provide training opportunities to test and validate command, control and operational procedures. The training is based on a notional scenario developed to drive execution of USSTRATCOM and component forces’ ability to support the geographic combatant commands, deter adversaries and, if necessary, employ forces as directed by the U.S. president. 4…………> World Health Hazard: CA Fires

.

Forced to use smoke masks, eye drops, stay indoor, no walks in the parks is the new normal for Californians who had been trying to cope with smoke from wildfires choking the state, with a sharp increase in serious health problems almost inevitable for vulnerable residents as the disasters become more commonplace. Air quality monitor says Californian cities are now world’s most polluted, forcing residents wearing masks to avoid breathing smoke particles.

Northern city of Oakland was reported to have the worst air quality in the world, with San Francisco, Stockton, and Sacramento being the world’s three “most polluted cities”, forcing all schools to close.

5…………> Cardboard Grannies: Hong Kong

In the territory that has one of the highest life expectancies in the world, beneath the shining lights and glitzy high-rises of central Hong Kong, there is struggling aging population, some in their 90s, who makes living gathering cardboard and papers to earn a meager $5 a day to make ends meet.

The local government has been criticized for not providing a “social support net” for its elderly citizens, forcing  many “cardboard grannies” to deal with theft and discrimination on a daily basis.

According to a recent survey of 505 cardboard pickers by an advocacy group,  eight in every 10 are women aged 60 and over, with the oldest picker being 96 years old, with all respondents declaring that they started collecting waste for economic reasons to meet their basic needs.

Direct message

Check out tweets from last two days. I refer to Fake News Media when mentioning Enemy of the People – but dishonest reporters use only the word “Media.” The people of our Great Country are angry and disillusioned at receiving so much Fake News. They get it, and fully understand!

CNN and others in the Fake News Business keep purposely and inaccurately reporting that I said the “Media is the Enemy of the People.” Wrong! I said that the “Fake News (Media) is the Enemy of the People,” a very big difference. When you give out false information – not good!

2…………> Switzerland Dreaming: A Crooked Banker
.
The former managing director and vice chairman of a Swiss bank was sentenced to 10 years in prison today, after previously pleading guilty for his role in a billion-dollar international scheme to launder funds embezzled from Venezuelan state-owned oil company Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA).
Matthias Krull, 44, a German national and Panamanian resident, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, on Aug. 22. U.S. District Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga of the Southern District of Florida sentenced Krull to serve 120 months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release. Judge Altonaga also ordered Krull to pay a fine for $50,000 and a forfeiture money judgment of $600,000. As part of his plea, Krull admitted that in his position with the Swiss bank, he attracted private clients, particularly clients from Venezuela, to the bank. In this role, Krull’s clients included Francisco Convit Guruceaga, who was indicted on money laundering charges on Aug. 16. Krull’s clients also included three unnamed conspirators described in the Aug. 16 indictment. Krull admitted that the conspiracy began in December 2014 with a currency exchange scheme that was designed to embezzle around $600 million from PDVSA, obtained through bribery and fraud and the conspirators’ efforts to launder a portion of the proceeds of that scheme. By May 2015, the conspiracy had doubled in amount to $1.2 billion embezzled from PDVSA. PDVSA is Venezuela’s primary source of income and foreign currency (namely, U.S. Dollars and Euros). Krull joined the conspiracy in or around 2016, he admitted, when a co-conspirator contacted him to launder the proceeds of a PDVSA foreign-exchange embezzlement scheme.

3…………> Vibrant & Colorful: Taipei
.
Approaching Taipei by air, the vibrance of the city is sensed from the colorful lines of lights circling Taiwan’s capital, as yellow lights you see through the window of the plane descending towards its destination.
Taipei winks at its guests through lights in blue, red, green — and yellow, of course — hinting at the hues of the city in its various corners.
The colors of the city are not limited to bright city lights, the various tones of the green covering the local parks, or flowers decorating the temples across the town. The night markets, for instance, offer a feast of traditional snacks — bursting with seafood of all kinds, taking advantage of Taiwan being an island. If you crave oyster, you can tame your appetite with a seafood omelet. Or you can opt for a side of deep-fried oyster. Grilled octopus is yet another choice.
You can get almost anything barbecued — from chicken to cow, beef, pork, and tofu, testing the bounds of your culinary imagination. Taiwan ice — sweet or salty foods on ice, your choice — and bubble tea — milked tea with tapioca balls in it — are must-try traditional foods and drinks.

4…………> Met With Force: Caravan
.
The US military will deploy more than 5,200 troops, including armed soldiers, to bolster President Donald Trump’s efforts to secure the border with Mexico as a caravan of migrants treks toward the frontier, a senior US general said.
800 troops are en route to Texas border and 5,200 will soon head to the south-west region Trump has warned caravan members — estimated to number between 3,500 and 7,000 — “our Military is waiting for you.”
The head of US Northern Command, said 800 US troops were already en route to the Texas border and 5,200 would be headed to the south-west region by the week’s end, far higher than the 800 to 1,000 initially forecast.
“That is just the start of this operation. We will continue to adjust the number and inform you of those,” General O’Shaughnessy said.
“But please know that is in addition to the 2,092 that are already employed from our National Guard troops.”

Stocks down 245 to 2443, DJ futures -279, attempt to stage a short covering rally continuing due to anti-tariff talks with China.

Gold down to 1229.6 and USD/CHF at 0.98 due to President Trump setting tariffs on Chinese products. Translation? As the dollar goes down, we have to wait and see if the new Fed Chair Jerome Powell will continue pressuring gold and the Eurasian block with it down below $1000/oz in an economic WW3. Watch cover short at 24800.
We have to wait and see if new Fed chair Powell will attempt to destroy Eurasian block by sending gold prices below 1000, despite the fact both Russia and China have been buying their whole gold production in local gold backed currency instead of money printing machines. In other words, US has lost controls of the precious metals complex, and with Trump’s infrastructure and tax cut campaign the National debt will soon be at, or over 30 trillion dollars, since D.C. swamp alligators have no intention dropping their pet projects.
