1…………> The Scent Of Eros & Aphrodite: Greece

For the first time, an ancient scent takes its place among the treasure of antiquities next to sculptures of Eros and Aphrodite at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, after chemists used oil formulas referenced in the works of Dioskourides and Theophrastos and later studies focusing on the ancient technique of aromatic oil production.

“We started the infusion of the wild olive oil, we mixed it with nutsedges. Then we flavored the formed oil with rose petals and colorized it with the root of alkanna,” Korres explained.

According to Korres, the final scent is absolutely original, and it takes one back to something primitive and fresh which is the rose, with two more scents, are being unveiled and take their place in the museum in the coming months, the coriander, and the sage.

·       44 people are talking about this

Seven people have been killed and nearly 300 injured after Guatemala’s Fuego volcano erupted, officials say.

The volcano, about 40km (25 miles) south-west of the capital Guatemala City, has been spewing black smoke and ash into the sky.

Flows of lava have reportedly struck at least one village, causing deaths and injuries.

People have been evacuated from several areas and the capital’s La Aurora airport has closed.

President Jimmy Morales said a national emergency response was under way.

The head of the National Disaster Prevention Authority Sergio Cabañas told a local radio station that a river of lava had changed course towards a small town.

“People have been injured, burned and killed. Evacuations and searches are underway,” he said, quoted by Reuters.

A total of about a million people have been affected by the eruption, the Guatemalan government says.

Officials have advised citizens to wear masks due to falling ash, which has been raining down in four of Guatemala’s administrative regions.

3…………> PLA Air Force: Deliberate, Experienced & Obedient
The “Shenwei” unit of PLA long-distance aviation in the words of veteran pilot Wang Aiping, and his co-pilot Wei Xing, gives us a window of the degree of precision and hard work pilots and support crews go in piloting H-6K nuclear-capable bombers that have been observed landing on the “artificial” islands of the deeply contested South Chiba sea.

4…………> Money Laundering: “Down Under”
CBA Newsroom

CBA CEO, Matt Comyn on AUSTRAC settlement: “Our agreement today is a clear acknowledgment of our failures and is an important step towards moving the bank forward. On behalf of Commonwealth Bank, I apologize to the community for letting them down.”

4:28 PM – Jun 3, 2018

The settlement of $530 million dollars came after court-ordered mediation between the country’s biggest bank and the country’s financial intelligence agency, the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC), for “serious and systemic non-compliance” with anti-money laundering and terror financing rules following Deutche Bank and a long list of US and EU banks that have used the very loose Central Banks monetary policy to procure tens of thousands of suspicious transactions and failed to adequately report them to authorities, allowing criminals and terror financiers to launder millions of dollars through CBA accounts.
