A documented member of the gang “Los Tumbadores” identified as Aron Alexi Herrera Munguia, 29, from Honduras, a member of a group known for preying on illegal aliens — was sentenced Wednesday to 40 years in prison following his conviction for rape and robbery of  two women who owned a bar in the Houston, Texas, area.

Munguia is the sixth member of Los Tumbadores to be convicted in state court as part of this investigation. These convicted defendants, all Honduran men in their twenties or early thirties, chose victims whom they believed would be too afraid to call the police for fear of deportation.

“They thought they could operate with impunity as they preyed on their people,” Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said.

“These officers and agents pursued the defendants over several years and the boundaries of multiple investigations; state and federal. Their selfless cooperation and collaboration with our gang and organized crime team led these defendants to inevitable justice.”

Houston-based Waste Management of Texas has agreed to forfeit more than $5.5 million and perform remedial measures for a documented pattern and practice of hiring illegal aliens at the company’s Afton, Texas, location. The five-year investigation that led to the forfeiture was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Houston, Texas.

“The non-prosecution agreement requires Waste Management to continue its substantial remedial measures to address all past immigration violations and forfeit more than $5.5 million in proceeds gained from hiring an illegal workforce at the Afton location,” said U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick, U.S. Southern District of Texas.

“In considering whether to enter into such agreements, we must take into account the collateral consequences that a criminal prosecution would have on the company’s contracts with many municipalities across the country and the thousands of employees for the conduct of three managers at one operating unit in Houston.” Waste Management Inc. is North America’s leading provider of waste disposal and collection headquartered in Houston.

“If they don’t shape up, I will withdraw from the WTO,” Mr. Trump said in an interview with Bloomberg News regarding his threat to withdraw the US from the World Trade Organization, the world body “[that was] was set up to benefit everybody but us… We lose the lawsuits, almost all of the lawsuits in the WTO.”

The WTO was established to provide rules for global trade and resolve disputes between countries. But Mr. Trump, who has been pushing protectionist policies, says the body mistreats the US. His warning about a possible US pull-out from the organization highlights the conflict between the president’s trade policies and the open trade system that the WTO oversees.

The U.S. may impose additional tariffs on Chinese goods as high as 200 billion dollars early next week after a public comment period on the issue ends on Sept. 6 deadline, according to Bloomberg News.  

The President said last month that he is ready to increase tariffs to $500 billion, almost the total value of goods the U.S. imported from China in 2017, and so far Beijing has not reciprocated with draconian measures, such as selling its 2.5 trillion dollars US Treasuries bond portfolio, or stop trading in US dollars, and switching to the long threatened use of IMF SDR instrument as an alternative to the new world reserve currency.

 After the report, U.S. stocks declined with the Dow down 137 points. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq each ended four-day record-breaking streaks.

Stocks down 138 to 25987, DJ futures -15, attempt to stage a short covering rally continuing due to anti-tariff talks with China.

Gold down to 1207.9 and USD/CHF down 0.99 due to President Trump setting tariffs on Chinese products. Translation? As the dollar goes down, we have to wait and see if the new Fed Chair Jerome Powell will continue pressuring gold and the Eurasian block with it down below $1000/oz in an economic WW3. Watch sell stop at 25,800.
 We have to wait and see if new Fed chair Powell will attempt to destroy Eurasian block by sending gold prices below 1000, despite the fact both Russia and China have been buying their whole gold production in local gold backed currency instead of money printing machines. In other words, US has lost controls of the precious metals complex, and with Trump’s infrastructure and tax cut campaign the National debt will soon be at, or over 30 trillion dollars, since D.C. swamp alligators have no intention dropping their pet projects.
