2………….> Sputnik V Covid Vaccine For Seniors: Volunteers Only

.

Russia has started testing its coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V on volunteers aged over 60, according to Health Minister Mikhail Murashko:

“We have launched trials of the Sputnik V vaccine, developed by the Russian Health Ministry’s Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, on volunteers who are older than 60”, Murashko said.

“It is crucially important to develop special vaccination parameters for the elderly patients”, the health minister stressed. In August, Sputnik V, developed by the Gamaleya research institute, became the world’s first registered vaccine against COVID-19.

Russia is expected to boost its production to 1.5 million doses in December, 3-3.5 million doses in January, and up to 15 million doses monthly in the spring, according to Trade Minister Denis Manturov.

US Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett has been asked by Democratic vice-president candidate Senator Kamala Harris whether she believes climate change is happening.

4………….> Most Wanted $5 Million Worth: Maduro’s Goon
.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York announced Friday that a former Venezuelan official and member the agency’s Most Wanted List has been designated as a target of the U.S. Department of State’s (DOS) Transnational Organized Crime Rewards Program in an effort to end corruption and criminality tied to the Maduro regime in Venezuela. This investigation was conducted by the HSI New York and HSI Miami El Dorado Financial Crimes Task Forces.

“HSI New York’s El Dorado Task Force is uniquely qualified to investigate complex, international money laundering and other serious financial crimes. Working with our law enforcement partners around the country and around the world, we will continue to safeguard our financial systems from international corruption that enriches the coffers of dictators and their cronies. This designation is a clear message – corruption stops at our border,” said Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Director Tony H. Pham.

On Feb. 13, the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) designated Lopez as a Specially Designated Narcotics Trafficker (SDNT) “for providing material assistance, financial support, or goods or services in support of…international narcotics trafficking activities.” Specifically, OFAC identified Lopez as a “key frontman” for El Aissami, handling business arrangements and financial matters that generated significant profits as a result of El Aissami’s illegal activity.

Based on investigations by HSI New York and HSI Miami, Lopez was indicted in March 2019 and March 2020 in the Southern District of New York for violations of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the Kingpin Act, and other sanctions imposed by OFAC.

Armando Castilla came in the US at age of nine, spent 26 years living in Las Vegas working manual labor, earned an MBA in International Finance and learned to speak four different languages. But when President Stevens took office, millions of illegals were forced to return to their home countries, and Armando found himself in front of his grandma’s house back in Tijuana. Mexico had yet another nasty surprise waiting for him: the house was the office of the local drug cartel and Armando was robbed and thrown on the street to live in the ruins of an abandoned house. Then the story took sudden and unexpected turns, when his cousin Avril found him and arranged a meeting with his long forgotten cousin Pujol, now chief operating officer of an umbrella of drug cartels doing business worldwide in the billions. Armando Castilla, the man no one wanted or ever cared about had the destiny to become one of the worlds most powerful and richest business executive, and at the end saved the life of the very same President Stevens who denied him the American dream. A story of struggle, endless persistence in the face of failure, and fantastic blessing by higher powers that is hard to comprehend.

2…………> On The “Seniors” War Path: Trump vs Biden

.

President Trump hit the campaign trail on Aug. 28, 2020 by holding a rally in Londonderry in the northeastern state of New Hampshire, a day after accepting the Republican Party’s nomination for reelection, and while speaking to supporters at an airport, Trump again took a bite from his Democratic rival, Joe Biden, while assailing demonstrators calling for social justice that have at times turned chaotic and violent.

It did not take long for “Uncle” Joe, “Sleeping in a wrong century” Biden to return fire, accusing his rival of “bringing his message of division, lies, and chaos to New Hampshire.”

George Floyd, a 46-year-old African American, died from asphyxiation after a white police officer kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes during an arrest in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in May, with his death igniting large demonstrations against police brutality and racism, as well as social unrest in some U.S. cities.

Leng Juzhen takes photos of sunflowers in Xiaonanhe Village of Raohe County, northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, his fifth year as an official assigned to aid the poverty-reduction drive, a hard work that had reduced poverty in all stricken households in the area by urging the villagers to develop rural tourism and agricultural products business such as chili sauce, cage-free chickens and eggs. In 2019, Xiaonanhe Village was listed as one of the first batch of national key villages for rural tourism. From 2016 to 2019, its total income from tourism and agricultural products business has reached more than 4 million yuan (about 582,800 U.S. dollars).

4………….> Desecrating Koran and Brawls With Police: Oslo Anti-Islam Protest?

.
As violent riots broke out in the Scandinavian country Sweden, following the burning of Koran during a demonstration organized by an anti-Islam group in the city of Malmo, hence police are digging in  for another night of riots by requesting reinforcement from the government.

Not to be left behind just across the border, one person was injured, and 20 people arrested following a protest in the Norwegian capital Oslo, which was organized by a group called “Stop Islamization of Norway” or SIAN. Tensions escalated after a demonstrator started tearing pages from Koran, the book composed of sacred writings, revealed by Allah to Prophet Muhammad.

5…………> The Berlin Philharmonic’s Pandemic Plan: Escape From COVID-19 Terror?

.
The Berlin Philharmonic new season is already on, but with reduced audience attendance, return to normality is still elusive, as musicians positioned on the semicircular stage of the otherwise completely empty Berlin Philharmonie, to produce what is described as audience-free “ghost concerts”, with only 20 to 25% of the seats may be occupied, regular spacing between, compulsory masks to be worn during admission, and no concert breaks.

“Since the number of available seats in the concert hall is greatly reduced, are you expecting a major financial loss?” DW asked artistic director Andrea Zietzschmann.

“The losses this year due to reduced ticket proceeds are very large. A three-week guest performance in May, a tour in the USA in November; everything was cancelled. The resumption of playing with a small amount of space is not cost-covering. Yes, we do expect a large deficit at the end of the year”, was the muted and uncomfortable answer.

2…………> Gambian Torturer Busted: ICE

.

A Gambian man previously residing in Denver, Colorado, was arrested today on torture charges stemming from his actions specifically intended to inflict severe physical pain and suffering on individuals in his custody and control in The Gambia in 2006.

An indictment was returned June 2 and unsealed today charging Michael Sang Correa, 41, a national of The Gambia, with one count of conspiracy to commit torture and six counts of inflicting torture on specific individuals. Correa made his first court appearance on the charges today before U.S. Magistrate Judge N. Reid Neureiter in the District of Colorado.

“Michael Correa’s case is another example of our commitment to pursue those who attempt to evade accountability for their actions by fleeing to the United States,” said Assistant Director David C. Shaw of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), National Security Investigations Division, who oversees the Human Rights Violators and War Crimes Center. “HSI will continue to investigate perpetrators of torture, genocide, and other war crimes to ensure the United States does not serve as a safe haven for human rights violators.”
“Michael Correa allegedly committed heinous acts of violence against victim after victim in a brutal effort to coerce confessions from suspected coup plotters in The Gambia,” said Assistant Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. “These charges underscore that the United States will not be a safe haven for perpetrators of torture and that human rights violators will be held accountable and brought to justice.”

“The crimes Correa is accused of are heinous and his victims deserve nothing less than justice,” said Eric Balliet, deputy special agent in charge, HSI Denver. “HSI and our international partners will continue to hold human rights violators accountable from regimes that seek to oppress their own people. In trying to take refuge in our community, Correa demonstrates how human rights violators will try to hide among the communities they have terrorized but we’re here to ensure he is held accountable for his alleged crimes.”

“As federal prosecutors, our mission is to seek out injustice and to hold accountable those who perpetuate it, regardless of where it occurs,” said U.S. Attorney Jason R. Dunn of the District of Colorado. “With this arrest, we are not only holding accountable a man who has allegedly committed horrific acts of torture against his own people, but demonstrating to the people of The Gambia, and indeed the entire world, that the United States stands for the rule of law and against those who abuse human rights.”

3…………> President “Uncle” Joe, “Sleeping In A Wrong Century” Biden: President Trump Will ‘Do Other Things’

.

“Certainly if I don’t win, I don’t win. I mean, you know, go on and do other things,” Mr. Trump cleared the air, after the former VP of our beloved 1st Muslim President, Grand Ayatollah Barack, “We must spread freedom around the world by reading our citizens email” Obama, “May Allah Shadow fall upon him”, “Uncle” Joe, “Sleeping in a wrong century” Biden, who is leading Mr. Trump in most national polls, expressed his grave concern  that Mr. Trump would try to “steal” the election, though the former vice-president did not elaborate on how he thought Mr. Trump might cheat.

Mr. Biden said he was confident soldiers would escort Mr. Trump from the White House if he is the loser, and not recognize the result.

4…………> COVID-19 War Update: A Deluge Of Poverty To Hit Billion People

A joint King’s College London and the Australian National University study points to poverty increasing dramatically in middle-income developing countries, including Asian countries such as Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan and the Philippines, deemed to be particularly vulnerable to the pandemic’s economic shockwaves, with lockdowns severely curtailing activity.

“The pandemic is fast becoming an economic crisis for developing countries,” said Andy Sumner, a professor of international development at King’s College London and one of the report’s co-authors.

In a worst-case scenario, the number of people in extreme poverty — defined as earning under $US1.90 a day — is forecast to rise from about 700 million to 1.1 billion, according to the report.
Global poverty to surge past 1 billion due to coronavirus, study concluded.

2…………> Worst Recession Since 1929: 15 Million Americans Unemployed

.

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva painted a far more depressing future of the social and economic impact of the corona-virus crisis than even a few weeks ago, noting governments had already undertaken fiscal stimulus measures of US trillion [2.6 trillion], but more would likely be needed to avoid the worst economic fallout since the Great Depression, with only a partial recovery anticipated next year, as 15 million Americans seek unemployment benefits in last three weeks.

The pandemic sweeping the world will turn global economic growth sharply negative in 2020, with only a partial recovery seen in 2021, the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said.

In remarks prepared for delivery ahead of next week’s IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings, she said the crisis would hit emerging markets and developing countries hardest of all, which would then need hundreds of billions of dollars in foreign aid.

3…………> COVID-19 Poverty Tsunami: To Hit Millions

.

The impact of the pandemic on the global economy could see as many as 600 million people — 8 per cent of the world’s population — pushed into poverty, as globalists are calling for cancellation of developing nations’ foreign debt to wealthier states, with grim projections that decades of poverty alleviation efforts could be lost.

A paper by researchers from the Australian National University (ANU) and King’s College London projects that if consumption contracts in developing countries by 20 per cent, it could see an increase in poverty for 400 to 600 million people globally.

4…………> Two US Towns:  Two COVID-19 Experiences

.

After marching its deadly trek through New York and other cities, Covid-19 is now hitting small towns in different ways:

William Knapp, the head of a local health board in New London, Ohio, spoke about the possibility of a corona-virus outbreak in Huron County at a meeting in February.

“It started with a cough, that hacking, dry cough”, his daughter, Sheri Gavalya, said that few days later her father William Knapp, 79 came down with something, and died of the disease on 29 March, adding to the state’s grim toll: 65 dead from Covid-19, as Ms. Gavalya, a 58-year-old nurse, is now worried about her own health.

So are others in New London, a one-traffic-light town in the north-eastern part of Ohio, after the governor, Mike DeWine, being one of the first in the country to issue a stay-at-home order, one he has extended to 1 May. Most New London stores are now closed, making this sleepy town even quieter than usual. The silence, says mayor Toby Thomas, is kind of “eerie”.

In Arkansas, the toll is sobering but not as bad as it is in Ohio and other states – there have been 625 cases in Arkansas, and 10 people have died.

The hot spots of Covid-19 are New York, Detroit and other big cities, but small towns across the nation are going through their own wave of infection, and medical experts say the disease could be devastating in rural areas – many of the residents are elderly, living far from hospitals and clinics.

.

Some out-of-this world shapes and patterns were observed by Google Earth researcher some 30 miles North East from the famous Nazca Lines in Peru, that let to publishing a video of his mysterious discovery on YouTube, and the image immediately attracted thousands of views in just several days, with observers rushing to express their astonishment with the finding, strange circles in a deserted mountain ridge nearby Uchumarca, as well as a cryptic snake-like structure, which he described as a serpent, it was difficult to understand whether the pattern was occurring naturally or was a human-designed structure.

Southern Peru is famous for UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site the Nazca Lines, which represent a group of giant and ancient geoglyphs, but the new findings are more mysterious and un-explainable than ever before.

2…………> Monkey Wrench In Trump’s Wheels: Dem’s Senators

.

A trio of Democratic senators Monday sued U.S. President Donald Trump over his appointment of Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, with the complaint filed by the infamous Richard Blumenthal, the man who lied for years about his Nam service record,  and his Dem’s “la gumbas”,  Sheldon Whitehouse and Mazie Hirono.

They asked a federal judge to remove Whitaker from the post-Trump appointed him to earlier this month following the ouster of former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, alleging a violation of the Appointments Clause of the Constitution.

At issue in the suit is the fact that Whitaker was chosen for a Cabinet-level post despite never receiving Senate confirmation before.

3…………> “Keine Kugeln”: Germany To Riyadh

.

The Islamic Merkeldom of Germany announced that it halted all arms exports to Saudi Arabia in a move to increase pressure on Riyadh to conduct a full investigation into the murder of journalist and fellow Muslim Jamal Khashoggi, after Economy and Energy Ministry spokesman Philipp Jornitz said the German government informed companies, who had already received export licenses, that currently no arms exports to Saudi Arabia would be allowed.

The decision came after U.S. media reports claimed the CIA had concluded the Khashoggi’s murder was ordered by the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

So far, 21 people, including security officers, have been arrested in Saudi Arabia in connection with the murder.

4…………> “Mexico Frontera Cerrada”: A View In The Future?

.

The US temporarily closed its busiest border crossing with Mexico to boost security after migrant caravan’s arrival, with northbound traffic and half the pedestrian crossings at the San Ysidro border point were shut to install new movable wire-topped barriers.

Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum said he expected the number of migrants arriving in the city in the coming weeks to reach 10,000, warning the city was not prepared to handle the “avalanche”. The new arrivals say they are fleeing persecution, poverty and violence in their home countries of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

5…………> “Angry Tigress”: Pamela Anderson

.

Actress Pamela Anderson has slammed Australia’s prime minister for making “smutty” remarks about her, after earlier asking him to help Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, as had urged Scott Morrison to bring Mr. Assange to Australia. Mr Morrison rejected her plea, but said he had “plenty of mates who have asked me if they can be my special envoy to sort out the issue with Pamela”, defending his comment as being “light-hearted”.

Mr. Assange, an Australian citizen, claimed asylum in Ecuador’s London embassy in 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden over sexual assault allegations – a case that has since been dropped, remaining in the embassy over fears of extradition to the US, as officials were preparing charges against him.

2…………> Stop “Activists Judges”: AG Sessions Statement

The judiciary is given respect from the Executive and the Legislative branches. That is why the two political branches follow and enforce the rulings of the Judicial branch—even when we disagree. But judges are not sent from Olympus. They are not all-knowing, and the Founders did not establish the federal judiciary to be the final arbiter of all critical questions in our society. And so, the Judicial branch must show significant respect for the Executive branch and Congress. I fear, in a variety of ways, that honor has been eroding. You are all probably familiar with the term “judicial activism.”

An activist judge has traditionally been defined as one who goes beyond the law in a given case and injects his or her personal opinion or policy preferences into judicial rulings. This improperly takes the policymaking prerogative away from the democratically accountable branches. One argument for activism was advocated openly by President Obama when he declared his judicial nominees must judge with “empathy.” It is a seductive argument. But whatever empathy is, it’s more akin to emotion, bias, and politics than law. Such an approach is a direct threat to law, and since law and law alone protects our liberties, it’s a threat to our freedom and the democratic process. We at the DOJ fight against this heresy relentlessly. The rule of law is more than an outcome. It is a formal process that creates an opportunity for a jury or a court to produce a just outcome—and a just outcome may not be the politically popular one. Judicial activism is therefore a threat to our representative government and the liberty it secures. In effect, activist advocates want judges who will do for them what they have been unable to achieve at the ballot box. It is fundamentally undemocratic. Too many judges believe it is their right, their duty, to act upon their sympathies and policy preferences. In the recent DACA litigation, for example, a judge last year told one of our DOJ litigators, “You can’t come into court to espouse a position that is heartless.” Not illegal. Not unlawful. Heartless.

3…………> From Distant Stars: Zircon

An incredibly rare mineral known as reidite was found deep within the long-buried Woodleigh Crater near Shark Bay, approximately 500 miles north of Perth, Australia.

The reidite is only formed under the extreme pressure created when rocks from outer space slam into the Earth’s crust, and the current discovery is only the sixth time the mineral has been discovered on Earth.

Previous research estimated the crater to be between 40–80 miles in diameter, so if Woodleigh is found to have a diameter of more than 65 miles, it would be classified as the most massive impact crater in Australia.

“There are not many impact craters on earth that are larger than 100km in diameter,” Dr Cavosie said.

“The significance is that once they get to be much larger than 100km in diameter they enter a class of impact event that is large enough to cause mass extinctions and influence biological evolution. For instance, the large impact crater in Mexico that is contributed to causing the demise of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago is 180km in diameter. And that one is not even twice as large as what Woodleigh may be” he explained.

4…………> “Stormy Out”: Trump Wins

A US judge has dismissed adult film actress Stormy Daniels’ completely qrotesque defamation lawsuit against President  Trump and ordered her to pay his lawyer’s fees, saying free speech laws protected a tweet the President had written referring to her. In his ruling, Judge S James Otero said Mr Trump’s tweet is protected by freedom of speech.

“The Court agrees with Mr. Trump’s argument because the tweet in question constitutes ‘rhetorical hyperbole’ generally associated with politics and public discourse in the United States,” Judge Otero wrote.

“The First Amendment protects this type of rhetorical statement.” Charles Harder, Mr. Trump’s lawyer, hailed the ruling as a “total victory.” “No amount of spin or commentary by Stormy Daniels or her lawyer, Mr. Avenatti, can truthfully characterize today’s ruling in any way other than a total victory for President Trump and total defeat for Stormy Daniels,” Mr. Harder said in a statement.

“Habitual residence in a public space is forbidden,” the Hungarian Constitution now reads, freshly amended by Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his social policy experts that have long wanted to solve the problem that has been humanity from the dawn of time: i.e. institute a legal ban on homelessness.

Both the government and several local authorities have repeatedly failed to push through such a law, being stopped both at the Constitutional Court and most recently Hungary’s Curia, the Supreme Court, in 2016. This June, parliament passed a constitutional amendment banning homelessness, making an appeal in the Constitutional Court no longer possible. Should the US be next to adapt such a legislation?

Unfortunately for the Senate Democrats questioning Kavanaugh about his knowledge of a specific event in the Pickering fight during Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing for the D.C. China is expanding its “political re-education” camps targeting Turkic-Muslim Uighurs in Xinjiang region, and vast numbers of the mostly Muslim minority group, including the secular, old and infirm, at camps across the country’s northwest.

Satellite images analyzed by intelligence professionals show that camps have been growing, with up to one million people, or about 7% of the Muslim population in China’s Xinjiang region now been incarcerated in an expanding network of “political re-education” camps.

Former inmates said they were instructed not to pray, keep a copy of the Quran or fast during Ramadan, and some were forced to eat pork, which is forbidden in Islam.

1…………> Keep Open: Coal, Nuke Plants
“President Donald J. Trump believes in total energy independence and dominance, and that keeping America’s energy grid and infrastructure strong and secure protects our national security, public safety, and economy from intentional attacks and natural disasters,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement Friday.“Unfortunately, impending retirements of fuel-secure power facilities are leading to a rapid depletion of a critical part of our Nation’s energy mix and impacting the resilience of our power grid.”

“President Trump has directed Secretary of Energy Rick Perry to prepare immediate steps to stop the loss of these resources and looks forward to his recommendations,” Sanders added.

The move would be unprecedented because the plants in question are at risk of closing down due to increased competition from abundant natural gas and renewable energy sources. The policy would coerce the owners of power grids across the nation to purchase electricity from coal and nuclear plants.

2…………> Indian Dust Storm: Casualties
“We have reports of 16 people dead due to the storm which started on Friday evening. The casualties are from various districts of the state. The Moradabad district reported the highest number of deaths — seven.” T.P. Gupta, an official at the State’s Relief Commissioner Office in Lucknow, told Anadolu Agency.

Mahesh Palawat, the head of private weather agency Skymet, told Anadolu News agency that the intensity of Friday’s dust storm was “severe” in some places. “In most places, there is no prediction of any similar dust storm in the days ahead,” he said.

He said at least 12 people were also injured in the storm.

Local media reported that most of the deaths in the state were due to houses collapsing and trees falling.

3…………> Ptolemy IV Coin: In Aussie Rainforest
A  bronze coin minted during the reign of Egypt’s Pharaon Ptolemy IV, who ruled the country between 221 and 204BC, was found more than two millennia later in 1912 Australia, buried a few inches underground in the depths of the far north Queensland rainforest by a man named Andrew Henderson, who had abandoned the gold mining fields of Victoria for a warmer climate.

“Henderson got a block of land in the scrub and he became a settler,” far north Queensland historian, Dave Phoenix said.

“One day in 1912 he was building a fence line and as he was digging a hole for a fence post his shovel hit something metallic.

“He reached into the hole and pulled out this coin.”

Henderson paid little attention to the coin at the time; when he returned home, he put it in a drawer and all but forgot about it for the next 40 years.

Among the most probable of theories is that the coin dropped out of a miner’s pack as they walked along the Aboriginal trail on the way to the Hodgkinson goldfields west of Cairns.

4…………> US Skid Row: UN Report
UN report on the persistence of extreme poverty in the US concludes that is a political choice made by people in power, and also criticizes the government policy for making healthcare a privilege rather than a right. Poverty in the United States is widespread and worsening under President Donald Trump, according to a human rights investigator for the United Nations.

Philip Alston, the UN special investigator on extreme poverty, said the Trump administration appears determined to pull the social safety net out from under millions of poor people while rewarding the wealthy with tax cuts.

In his report, Alston called on the US to address the underlying problems facing the underclass rather than “punishing and imprisoning the poor.”

He noted that welfare benefits are being slashed and access to health care has become more difficult during Trump’s presidency. This, in conjunction with “financial windfalls” for the super-rich and big corporations,  has significantly widened the inequality gap.

Since President Lyndon Johnson’s war on poverty in the 1960s US social policy towards the poor has been “neglectful at best,” Alston said.

“But the policies pursued over the past year seem deliberately designed to remove basic protections from the poorest, punish those who are not in employment and make even basic health care into a privilege to be earned rather than a right of citizenship,” he said.

In a country of about 325 million people, nearly 41 million live in poverty — including 18.5 million in extreme poverty. Alston said children accounted for 33 percent of the poor. No other industrialized country had so many children mired in poverty, he said.

The data used to compile the UN report only covers the period through 2016, so there are no comparative figures that could measure poverty levels before and after Trump took office in January.

5…………> ISIS Aficionado: Miami
Vicente Adolfo Solano, 53, a citizen of Honduras residing in Miami, was sentenced to 210 months in prison, to be followed by a lifetime of supervised release, for attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), a designated foreign terrorist organization, after planning to detonate an explosive device at a Miami mall.  Solano pleaded guilty on March 14.

Solano told an individual, who later became a Confidential Human Source (CHS) for the government, that he was upset with the United States and wanted to conduct an attack in Miami.  Later, Solano told this CHS that he wanted to join ISIS.

Solano planned to place and detonate an explosive device in a crowded area of a popular Miami mall.  Solano discussed his plot with the CHS and two undercover FBI employees.  According to the complaint, Solano provided three videos to the CHS, in which Solano makes pro-ISIS statements and expresses anti-U.S. sentiments.  Just prior to his arrest, Solano took possession of what he believed was an explosive device, took steps to arm it, and walked toward a mall entrance in order to carry out his attack.  Unbeknownst to Solano, the device was inert and did not pose a risk to the public.  Solano was taken into custody prior to entering the Mall.

1…………> Tax Fraud: Nevada

Las Vegas, Nevada, tax return preparer Ofelia Ronquillo, 62, pleaded guilty for preparing fraudulent income tax returns for clients through a business known as A.R. Financial LLC and later AJRC Tax Services. Ronquillo included false items on her clients’ tax returns, including bogus charitable contributions, capital losses, and unreimbursed employee expenses—such as meals and transportation expenses, as well as claimed inflated refunds to which her clients were not entitled. 2…………> A Mexican Dream:
Yenizeth Arcubia

According to Mexico’s Secretariat of Social Development (Sedesol), 80% of the population of Guazapares lives below the poverty line, and half are considered to live in conditions of extreme poverty, giving young women no choice but to work hard on their studies while the young men go and work for the narcos.

One of those young women is Yenizeth Peña Arcubia from the Chihuahua town of Témoris, in Guazapares, who grew up in near extreme poverty, but very hard work and dedication led her to earning a bachelor’s, a passport for a bright future not only for herself, but other young people.
“I learned there that one should be humble and fight for what one wants. Many of those with me there had left [their hometowns] with enough cash for their ticket, but with a great desire to learn,” Yenizeth said as she continued her studies at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua and pursued a bachelor’s degree in ecological engineering.

3…………>Para Bailar, Para Soñar: El Mundo Carnaval

To celebrate the beginning of spring, a carnaval season is spreading across Europe and the Americas, unleashing an ocean of bright costumes, street dancing and celebrations of pre-Lent festivals, that are often a blend of local pagan and Catholic traditions.

In New Orleans, Mardi Gras marked the final day of the season in a city and this year marked its 300th anniversary as revellers took to the streets in elaborate or funny costumes evoking Marie Antoinette, Donald Trump and glamorous gnomes.

World’s largest and most famous extravaganza, the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil paid a tribute to African culture, as the Salgueir samba school used blackface makeup in the Carnival parade.

4…………> T-cells: Keys To Immune System

Chinese scientists have successfully reprogrammed B cells into functional T cells in living organisms for the first time, which could be useful in immune therapy against tumors and AIDS someday.

A research project study led by the Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health (GIBH) under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), proved that Hoxb5, a transcription factor that regulates the genes in cells, can play a key role in generating functional T cells in vivo.

T cells are generated by hematopoietic stem cells, which give rise to all blood cells and immune cells in living organisms, giving Chinese scientists a reason to believe that their simple, efficient and economical way of generating T cells will contribute to biomedical studies in anti-tumor and anti-AIDS treatment in the future.
