2…………> Gambian Torturer Busted: ICE

.

A Gambian man previously residing in Denver, Colorado, was arrested today on torture charges stemming from his actions specifically intended to inflict severe physical pain and suffering on individuals in his custody and control in The Gambia in 2006.

An indictment was returned June 2 and unsealed today charging Michael Sang Correa, 41, a national of The Gambia, with one count of conspiracy to commit torture and six counts of inflicting torture on specific individuals. Correa made his first court appearance on the charges today before U.S. Magistrate Judge N. Reid Neureiter in the District of Colorado.

“Michael Correa’s case is another example of our commitment to pursue those who attempt to evade accountability for their actions by fleeing to the United States,” said Assistant Director David C. Shaw of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), National Security Investigations Division, who oversees the Human Rights Violators and War Crimes Center. “HSI will continue to investigate perpetrators of torture, genocide, and other war crimes to ensure the United States does not serve as a safe haven for human rights violators.”
“Michael Correa allegedly committed heinous acts of violence against victim after victim in a brutal effort to coerce confessions from suspected coup plotters in The Gambia,” said Assistant Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. “These charges underscore that the United States will not be a safe haven for perpetrators of torture and that human rights violators will be held accountable and brought to justice.”

“The crimes Correa is accused of are heinous and his victims deserve nothing less than justice,” said Eric Balliet, deputy special agent in charge, HSI Denver. “HSI and our international partners will continue to hold human rights violators accountable from regimes that seek to oppress their own people. In trying to take refuge in our community, Correa demonstrates how human rights violators will try to hide among the communities they have terrorized but we’re here to ensure he is held accountable for his alleged crimes.”

“As federal prosecutors, our mission is to seek out injustice and to hold accountable those who perpetuate it, regardless of where it occurs,” said U.S. Attorney Jason R. Dunn of the District of Colorado. “With this arrest, we are not only holding accountable a man who has allegedly committed horrific acts of torture against his own people, but demonstrating to the people of The Gambia, and indeed the entire world, that the United States stands for the rule of law and against those who abuse human rights.”

3…………> President “Uncle” Joe, “Sleeping In A Wrong Century” Biden: President Trump Will ‘Do Other Things’

.

“Certainly if I don’t win, I don’t win. I mean, you know, go on and do other things,” Mr. Trump cleared the air, after the former VP of our beloved 1st Muslim President, Grand Ayatollah Barack, “We must spread freedom around the world by reading our citizens email” Obama, “May Allah Shadow fall upon him”, “Uncle” Joe, “Sleeping in a wrong century” Biden, who is leading Mr. Trump in most national polls, expressed his grave concern  that Mr. Trump would try to “steal” the election, though the former vice-president did not elaborate on how he thought Mr. Trump might cheat.

Mr. Biden said he was confident soldiers would escort Mr. Trump from the White House if he is the loser, and not recognize the result.

4…………> COVID-19 War Update: A Deluge Of Poverty To Hit Billion People

A joint King’s College London and the Australian National University study points to poverty increasing dramatically in middle-income developing countries, including Asian countries such as Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan and the Philippines, deemed to be particularly vulnerable to the pandemic’s economic shockwaves, with lockdowns severely curtailing activity.

“The pandemic is fast becoming an economic crisis for developing countries,” said Andy Sumner, a professor of international development at King’s College London and one of the report’s co-authors.

In a worst-case scenario, the number of people in extreme poverty — defined as earning under $US1.90 a day — is forecast to rise from about 700 million to 1.1 billion, according to the report.
Global poverty to surge past 1 billion due to coronavirus, study concluded.

2…………> Worst Recession Since 1929: 15 Million Americans Unemployed

.

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva painted a far more depressing future of the social and economic impact of the corona-virus crisis than even a few weeks ago, noting governments had already undertaken fiscal stimulus measures of US trillion [2.6 trillion], but more would likely be needed to avoid the worst economic fallout since the Great Depression, with only a partial recovery anticipated next year, as 15 million Americans seek unemployment benefits in last three weeks.

The pandemic sweeping the world will turn global economic growth sharply negative in 2020, with only a partial recovery seen in 2021, the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said.

In remarks prepared for delivery ahead of next week’s IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings, she said the crisis would hit emerging markets and developing countries hardest of all, which would then need hundreds of billions of dollars in foreign aid.

3…………> COVID-19 Poverty Tsunami: To Hit Millions

.

The impact of the pandemic on the global economy could see as many as 600 million people — 8 per cent of the world’s population — pushed into poverty, as globalists are calling for cancellation of developing nations’ foreign debt to wealthier states, with grim projections that decades of poverty alleviation efforts could be lost.

A paper by researchers from the Australian National University (ANU) and King’s College London projects that if consumption contracts in developing countries by 20 per cent, it could see an increase in poverty for 400 to 600 million people globally.

4…………> Two US Towns:  Two COVID-19 Experiences

.

After marching its deadly trek through New York and other cities, Covid-19 is now hitting small towns in different ways:

William Knapp, the head of a local health board in New London, Ohio, spoke about the possibility of a corona-virus outbreak in Huron County at a meeting in February.

“It started with a cough, that hacking, dry cough”, his daughter, Sheri Gavalya, said that few days later her father William Knapp, 79 came down with something, and died of the disease on 29 March, adding to the state’s grim toll: 65 dead from Covid-19, as Ms. Gavalya, a 58-year-old nurse, is now worried about her own health.

So are others in New London, a one-traffic-light town in the north-eastern part of Ohio, after the governor, Mike DeWine, being one of the first in the country to issue a stay-at-home order, one he has extended to 1 May. Most New London stores are now closed, making this sleepy town even quieter than usual. The silence, says mayor Toby Thomas, is kind of “eerie”.

In Arkansas, the toll is sobering but not as bad as it is in Ohio and other states – there have been 625 cases in Arkansas, and 10 people have died.

The hot spots of Covid-19 are New York, Detroit and other big cities, but small towns across the nation are going through their own wave of infection, and medical experts say the disease could be devastating in rural areas – many of the residents are elderly, living far from hospitals and clinics.

5………..> In Search Of The Gods: Nazca Serpent Discovered

.

Some out-of-this world shapes and patterns were observed by Google Earth researcher some 30 miles North East from the famous Nazca Lines in Peru, that let to publishing a video of his mysterious discovery on YouTube, and the image immediately attracted thousands of views in just several days, with observers rushing to express their astonishment with the finding, strange circles in a deserted mountain ridge nearby Uchumarca, as well as a cryptic snake-like structure, which he described as a serpent, it was difficult to understand whether the pattern was occurring naturally or was a human-designed structure.

Southern Peru is famous for UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site the Nazca Lines, which represent a group of giant and ancient geoglyphs, but the new findings are more mysterious and un-explainable than ever before.

….We no longer pay Pakistan the $Billions because they would take our money and do nothing for us, Bin Laden being a prime example, Afghanistan being another. They were just one of many countries that take from the United States without giving anything in return. That’s ENDING!

  2. Of course we should have captured Osama Bin Laden long before we did. I pointed him out in my book just BEFORE the attack on the World Trade Center. President Clinton famously missed his shot. We paid Pakistan Billions of Dollars & they never told us he was living there. Fools!..

2…………> Monkey Wrench In Trump’s Wheels: Dem’s Senators

.

A trio of Democratic senators Monday sued U.S. President Donald Trump over his appointment of Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, with the complaint filed by the infamous Richard Blumenthal, the man who lied for years about his Nam service record,  and his Dem’s “la gumbas”,  Sheldon Whitehouse and Mazie Hirono.

They asked a federal judge to remove Whitaker from the post-Trump appointed him to earlier this month following the ouster of former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, alleging a violation of the Appointments Clause of the Constitution.

At issue in the suit is the fact that Whitaker was chosen for a Cabinet-level post despite never receiving Senate confirmation before.

3…………> “Keine Kugeln”: Germany To Riyadh

.

The Islamic Merkeldom of Germany announced that it halted all arms exports to Saudi Arabia in a move to increase pressure on Riyadh to conduct a full investigation into the murder of journalist and fellow Muslim Jamal Khashoggi, after Economy and Energy Ministry spokesman Philipp Jornitz said the German government informed companies, who had already received export licenses, that currently no arms exports to Saudi Arabia would be allowed.

The decision came after U.S. media reports claimed the CIA had concluded the Khashoggi’s murder was ordered by the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

So far, 21 people, including security officers, have been arrested in Saudi Arabia in connection with the murder.

4…………> “Mexico Frontera Cerrada”: A View In The Future?

.

The US temporarily closed its busiest border crossing with Mexico to boost security after migrant caravan’s arrival, with northbound traffic and half the pedestrian crossings at the San Ysidro border point were shut to install new movable wire-topped barriers.

Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum said he expected the number of migrants arriving in the city in the coming weeks to reach 10,000, warning the city was not prepared to handle the “avalanche”. The new arrivals say they are fleeing persecution, poverty and violence in their home countries of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

5…………> “Angry Tigress”: Pamela Anderson

.

Actress Pamela Anderson has slammed Australia’s prime minister for making “smutty” remarks about her, after earlier asking him to help Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, as had urged Scott Morrison to bring Mr. Assange to Australia. Mr Morrison rejected her plea, but said he had “plenty of mates who have asked me if they can be my special envoy to sort out the issue with Pamela”, defending his comment as being “light-hearted”.

Mr. Assange, an Australian citizen, claimed asylum in Ecuador’s London embassy in 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden over sexual assault allegations – a case that has since been dropped, remaining in the embassy over fears of extradition to the US, as officials were preparing charges against him.
