2…………..> USS Ralph Johnson: Godspeed

On March 5, 1968, in an observation post overlooking the Quan Duc Valley, Marine Corps Pfc. Ralph Henry Johnson used his body to shield fellow Marines from a grenade, absorbing the blast and dying instantly. The Charleston native had only been in Vietnam for two months when he was killed at the age of 19. In recognition of his “conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity” during the Vietnam War he posthumously received the Medal of Honor, and now the Navy will commission its newest guided-missile destroyer, the future USS Ralph Johnson (DDG 114), during a 10 a.m. EDT ceremony Saturday, March 24, at Columbus Street Pier in Charleston, South Carolina.

3…………> Spanish Treasure: Yutacan

A priceless stash of more than 300 gold pieces, including rings, buckles, crosses, brooches, cufflinks, bracelets, rosaries and toothpicks — as well as 74 encrusted emeralds among other items were discovered three years ago on a shallow reef, all parts of a Spanish treasure lost at sea after a shipwreck off the Yucatán coast in the 18th century.

According to Roberto Junco Sánchez, a researcher at the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), the discovery of the treasure was purely accidental when an underwater archaeology team was mapping the site of a 19th-century shipwreck using a portable magnetometer just to record a signal from just outside the area it was surveying.

The signals led the team to a broken anchor, a golden rosary bead and dozens of silver coins, and the rest is now part of Mexican history.

4……………..> Nordic Window: Ancient Pedophile Culture

Norwegian police have documented 151 cases of sexual abuse, including child rape, in one small community of 2,000 people in a 900 feet deep fjord, a village named Tysfjord, north of the Arctic circle, a forgotten hamlet of some of Scandinavia’s earliest inhabitants called the Sami’s, a long lost tribe that still live in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia.  The offences occurred between the 1950s and 2017, but Sami people accounted for about two-thirds of the 83 victims and 92 of the perpetrators identified in the police report on sexual abuse,

5……….> Ready For War: PLA Air Force

After the unceremonious trespassing by US Navy carrier battle groups through what the Chinese government consider their backyard, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force recently conducted a high-sea training mission in the West Pacific and a joint combat patrol mission in the South China Sea, according to an air force spokesperson.

Shen Jinke, a spokesperson for the PLA Air Force, said a formation, including H-6K bombers, Su-30 and Su-35 fighters, carried out a real combat training mission in the West Pacific via the Miyako Strait to improve high-sea combat readiness.

The PLA Air Force will continue to safeguard national sovereignty and security, as well as support the country’s peaceful development through high-sea training and combat patrol missions, according to Shen.

2………..> From Paralegal To Illegal: FBI

A paralegal specialist for the San Diego Division of the FBI named Lynn M. Morris, 51,  pleaded guilty today to embezzling nearly $160,000 in government funds and converted the funds for her own personal use. The funds were held in an account owned by the FBI San Diego Division’s Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU). From 2014 to 2016, Morris was a paralegal specialist and the designated coordinator for the AFU. Morris admitted that to convert government funds to her own use, she used her knowledge and position within the FBI to withdraw cash from the AFU’s account and deposited portions of the stolen proceeds into her personal checking account.

4…………> Baja Del Sur: Violence Spiral

The state of Baja California Del Sur has fallen prey of a spiral of bloodshed during the past 12 months, sparked by a broader underworld upheaval involving two of the country’s most powerful crime groups, leading to a jump of the murder rate from 50 murders per year to 151, becoming  one of Mexico’s most deadly on a per-capita basis.

Much of the violence has been associated with places like Juárez and Acapulco, where videos of a deadly gun battle that lasted half an hour in the state capital La Paz were uploaded to the internet, leading to the arrest of five members of a criminal group for possession of an arsenal of high-powered weapons and tactical gear. The killings have been accompanied by surges in other illicit activities associated with organized crime, such as extortion.

5…………> Falling In Love: Geek Squad & FBI

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the US Department of Justice in 2017 into the relationship between the FBI and Geek Squad, accusing it of flagging illegal material in computers they were repairing that was then used by the FBI in arrests and prosecutions — a violation of the Fourth Amendment right of Americans to avoid unlawful searches and seizures of their property.

The documents detailed an incident during which a Geek Squad employee called the FBI after finding what he believed to be child pornography on a laptop he was repairing. The FBI reviewed the content to see if it was indeed child porn, then seized the hard drive and retrieved a warrant to search the device from there.

6…………> Free To Roam: Denver Illegal

In continuation of the infamous treachery of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf warning to murderous illegals aliens to skip town due to incoming ICE raids, now the Denver Sheriff Department refused to detain an undocumented immigrant named Ivan Zamarripa-Castaneda, 26,  who was arrested on Sunday in connection with a fatal hit and run that caused crash between a semi-truck and a pickup truck on Interstate 70, killing the driver of the semi and igniting a fire that closed the roadway in both directions for several hours.

But Denver stopped honouring detention requests from ICE in 2014, and ignored ICE agents demands and refused to hand Zamarripa-Castaneda over to the Federales.
