Crashes of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 killed 346 people in less than six months, and as friends and family of the Ethiopian crash victims have begun funeral services, US officials said that they had not yet validated the data, due to “the investigation being in the very early stages”.
Analysis of the data from the black boxes of an Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed, killing all 157 people on board, showed “clear similarities” with an earlier crash of the same jet model, according to French air authorities analyzing data from the Ethiopian black box.
In 2018, US pilots had also reported seperate issues anonymously to NASA regarding automated flight control problems, but no direct action was taken in response.
Both planes were Boeing’s top-selling jet model, the 737 MAX 8, and pilots in both crashes reported flight control problems during take-off.
In October, a Lion Air crash killed all 189 people onboard, after pilots fought against the jet’s automated nose dive.

President Donald Trump’s staff rejected any attempt to link the US leader to a right-wing terrorist who is accused of killing 50 people in two New Zealand mosques, championed a Fox News personality who made anti-Muslim remarks.
“Bring back @JudgeJeanine Pirro,” Mr Trump wrote in Twitter posts on Sunday, in which he blamed Democrats for trying to “silence a majority of our Country” and advocated supporters to “stop working soooo hard on being politically correct”
His chief of staff said it would be unfair to link the Christchurch shooter and Mr. Trump, with numerous people attacking the president for heightening anti-Muslim rhetoric.
