  1. Legislative changes are the only viable option to swiftly put an end to the current crisis, reducing the victimization of migrants looking for a better life, and starving the cartels and the transnational criminal organizations of a major segment of their illicit enterprises

     2.  Amend the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA) to provide for the prompt repatriation of any Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) who are not victims of human trafficking and who do not express a fear of return to their home country and provide for similar treatment of all UACs from both contiguous or noncontiguous countries to ensure they are swiftly and safely returned to their countries of origin.

     3. Comparing FY 2019 year-to-date1 with FY 2018 year-to-date, there has been a 79% percent increase (184,461 to 330,049) in intakes resulting from CBP apprehensions and an almost 11 percent decrease (121,095 to 107,923) in intakes resulting from ICE arrests.

     4. Of the small fraction of the current detained population that was not apprehended by CBP and do not have a criminal history, many are foreign fugitives, known or suspected gang members, or have violated the terms of their enrollment in ICE’s ATD program.

     5. Terminate the Flores Settlement agreement and clarify the government’s detention authority with respect to alien minors, including minors detained as part of a family unit.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) removed Melvin Armando Cortez-Moreno, an active member of the 18th Street Gang, to his home country of El Salvador where local authorities took him into custody.

 However, Cortez-Moreno later received an order for removal, June 14, 2017, to El Salvador issued by a San Francisco immigration judge because he failed to appear for his immigration court proceedings.

Cortez-Moreno, 30, is wanted by the Salvadoran government for multiple egregious crimes, including charges of manslaughter, murder and other crimes with ties to 18th Street Gang activity.

 That day, ERO San Francisco arrested Cortez-Moreno outside of the Sacramento County Jail and took him into ICE custody pending immigration removal proceedings.

 However, the US Border Patrol (USBP) first encountered him June 11, 2015, near South Komelik, Arizona, and arrested him for immigration law violations.

The Department’s review will consider the widespread concerns that consumers, businesses, and entrepreneurs have expressed about search, social media, and some retail services online. During his public appearance Robert Mueller said he didn’t want or need to testify before Congress on the results of his investigation, but now after the DOJ issued guidelines that set boundaries on Mr. Mueller’s testimony, instructing him to stay within the confines of the written report, Democratic Trump haters had to pick and choose what episodes and findings they wanted to highlight, in the hopes that he would offer affirmation or further corroboration. He frequently did, but usually in the least dramatic fashion imaginable.

His answers to a question about the president asking White House staff to falsify documents relevant to the investigation, for instance, was simply: “I would say that’s generally a summary”, or ‘I’ll refer you to the report’, or  “I can’t answer that question”, “I can’t get into that”, “I don’t recall”, “that’s out of my purview” .

In other words, yet another miserable failure by the “Impeach 45” crowd to realize their dream to nullify the voice of the American people, and remove a democratically elected president from office.
