US forces fought several fierce battles against the German Wehrmacht in Hürtigen Forest near Aachen. Lasting several months from fall 1944 until early 1945, the battles would also be remembered as some of the longest and most significant fought on German soil. Four B-52 Stratofortress strategic bombers are deployed to the Middle East, joining the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group and task force that have been sent to the Middle East as the Trump administration sees “clear indications” of threats from Iran to US forces in the region.

The chief of US Central Command requested reinforcements in the Middle East “to protect US forces and interests in the region and to deter any aggression” after receiving information about a credible threat.

Two of the nuclear-capable bombers are slated to leave from Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, arriving at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Wednesday, according to media sources.

“We continue to closely monitor the activities of the regime in Iran, their military, the [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps], and their proxies, and we are well postured to defend US.”

    In Fiscal Year 2018, the New York field office made more than 3,400 arrests in their area of responsibility (southernmost 14 counties of New York State) – approximately 87 percent of those individuals either had a prior criminal conviction or had criminal charges pending, pursuant to their arrest by a law enforcement agency.

    During the month of February 2019, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal’s (ERO) deportation officers assigned to the New York Field Office arrested more than 20 criminal aliens throughout their area of responsibility, after they were released from local law enforcement custody with an active immigration detainer in place.

     In a region with a population of approximately 8-10 million residents, these statistics clearly illustrate that ERO New York prioritizes its daily targeted enforcement efforts, on criminals and public safety threats.

    “The sanctuary city politics of this city continue to put the safety of New York residents at risk,” said Thomas R. Decker, field office director for ERO NY.

    The boy had slipped off the chairlift and was dangling 18 feet above the ground, as a group of rescuers used out-of-bounds fencing to create a makeshift net to catch him, with the boy left uninjured, and the five teens and two adults hailed as heroes.

    As other bystanders watched, James MacDonald, a 14-year-old asked a man to retrieve some orange netting being used to fence out-of-bounds areas, and he, some friends and other bystanders stretched it out as a makeshift net underneath the boy.

    Meanwhile, 13-year-old Ethan Harvey said another of their friends urged the boy to stay calm, directed him to remove his skis, and then asked the father to trust the group of young rescuers.

    Islamic May’sdom of UK counter-terror police are investigating three packages containing explosives found at Heathrow Airport, London City Airport and Waterloo station.

    “These devices, at this early stage of the investigation, appear capable of igniting an initially small fire when opened. The packages, all A4sized white postal bags containing yellow Jiffy bags, have been assessed by specialist officers to be small improvised explosive device,” the Metro police said.
