According to a statement from the Houthi armed forces, broadcast by Almasirah TV channel, the group attacked the Abqaiq and Khurais oil refineries with 10 drones, the biggest Houthi operation within Saudi territory to date.(Sputnik)

Two oil plants central to Saudi Arabia’s oil production, including the world’s biggest petroleum processing facility are on fire after Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi group attack, and efforts are underway to  bring the blazes under control, as sources said oil production and exports had been disrupted from the Saudi Aramco facilities.

Two dozen ambulances were seen in the area,  with a heavy security presence around Abqaiq, where the processing plant handles crude from the world’s largest conventional oilfield, the supergiant Ghawar, and for export to terminals Ras Tanura — the world’s biggest offshore oil loading facility — and Juaymah, as one source said 5 million barrels per day of crude production had been impacted.

A criminal information was filed on Sept. 11, 2019, against Alaa Mohd Abusaad, charging her with concealment of terrorism financing, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2339C and 2.  She pleaded guilty to the charge today,  instructed an FBI undercover employee (UCE) about how to send money to the mujahedeen—fighters engaged in jihad, told the UCE that money “is always needed.  “You can’t have a war without weapons.  You can’t prepare a soldier without equipment,”  she said.

” Abusaad also advised the UCE on how to send money in a manner that would avoid detection by law enforcement, including by using fake names and addresses when conducting electronic money transfers.”

The maximum penalty for concealment of terrorism financing is 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, and up to a life term of supervised release.
