1…………> ICE Raid: NJ

ICE Newark Field Office arrested 37 individuals during a five-day operation that concluded Friday, as part of the agency’s ongoing public safety efforts, with 16 subjects that had been previously released by MCJ without honoring the ICE detainer and 78% had prior criminal convictions or pending criminal charges.

“ERO New Jersey will continue to enforce ICE’s commitment to public safety,” said Ruben Perez, Acting Field Office Director of ERO in Newark. “Middlesex County, which aspires to be a ‘sanctuary county’ by protecting criminal aliens, in the process assists criminals in undermining federal law and creates a dangerous environment in the community. It also overburdens local law enforcement. ICE will continue to execute its mission in such communities.”

The individuals arrested as part of the operation were nationals of Brazil, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Ivory Coast, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, and Turkey.

These individuals range from 21 to 68 years old and all were previously arrested or convicted of a variety of offenses. Some of the arrests and convictions included: aggravated criminal sexual contact, aggravated assault, DUI, hindering apprehension, endangering the welfare of a child, battery, theft, burglary, possession of a weapon, forgery, domestic violence assault, disorderly conduct, and illegal entry.

3…………> Trump/Putin Lunch: No Vodka Yet

President  Trump says he and President Putin had a “good start” to their high-stakes summit in Helsinki, Finland, calling the meeting with his counterpart “a good start, a very good start for everybody” as the two leaders and their top advisers sat across the table from one another during a working lunch,
shook hands and answered reporters’ questions before the summit, all this civility despite the meeting being assailed by Mr.Trump’s greatest enemy, blabbermouth Maxine “Fire 45” Waters.

“We are the two great nuclear powers, we have 90% of the nuclear and that’s not a good thing, it’s a bad thing,” he said.

“And I think we can hopefully do something about that because it’s not a positive force, it’s a negative force. So we’ll be talking about that among other things.”

Mr. Trump said the leaders’ discussions would involve trade, the military, missiles, nuclear weapons and China, including their “mutual friend”, Chinese President Xi Jinping.

France 4-2 Croatia
(Mandzukic o.g. 19′, Griezmann pen. 39′, Pogba 59′, Mbappe 65′ – Perisic 29′, Mandzukic 69′)

1…………> World Cup final: France v Croatia

It’s the biggest day in football, with France and Croatia only one win away from lifting the trophy in the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

Not on board the Croatia bandwagon? Fair enough. This French team is pretty magnificent, and they will be incredibly hard to stop. Here’s why they will win.
Croatia seems to be a pretty firm underdog for this one. But those onlookers would be dead wrong. Here’s why…
And there are no changes to speak of from either side. Croatia sticks with Marcelo Brozovic in a defensive midfield role, and the French see no need to opt against starting Blaise Matuidi in their own midfield. So we kinda know what to expect from both sides now, it’s going to come down to execution on the day.
Here we are, the biggest day in football. Years of qualifying and a month-long festival in Russia has brought us to this – France against Croatia, with the opportunity to lift the famous trophy only one victory away.

It’s been an excellent tournament and one that deserves a fitting final to send us out on a high note. All the ingredients are there for a memorable World Cup final, with both the French and Croatian teams littered with talent, but with such a prize on offer, will the big players freeze? And who will be the one to write his name into football folklore?

We can’t wait to find out. And you can follow every single bit of the action right here in our blog. Don’t go anywhere.

Breaking: France 2, Croatia 1, 38 minutes in the game.

3…………> Not Much Expected: Trump/Putin Lunch

President Trump has said he has “low expectations” for his meeting with Russia’s Vladimir Putin in Finland, but he said that “nothing bad” and “maybe some good” would come out of the encounter.

He also said he would raise the subject of 12 Russians indicted for alleged hacking during the 2016 US election – but “hadn’t thought” about asking for their extradition, a news that will please his “collusion” detractors, and almost certainly anger his supporters.

4…………> Paraglider Message: Trump In Scotland

A paraglider with a flying banner that dove within 200 feet of the president read, “Trump Well Below Par #Resist,” despite no-fly zone implemented by Scottish officials for the duration of Mr. Trump stay, forcing security rushing indoors as the Greenpeace pilot comes over.

Although Greenpeace officials did inform the local police, the police air incident advisor and the Prestwick air traffic control about their plans, a manhunt has since been launched for the pilot.
