A Happy Thanksgiving from Miss KotKot1581

2…………> An Asian Tragedy: Dog Slaughter House

Officials in South Korea dismantled country’s largest dog slaughterhouse, identified as the Taepyeong-dong complex in Seongnam city, that will be converted into a public park, as Humane Society International (HSI) found “horrifying” conditions inside the factory, including electrocution equipment, knives, and a de-hairing machine.

One million dogs are consumed every year and dog rights activists have sought to end the custom, despite that the meat is considered a delicacy in South Korea, and attitudes have changed in recent years.

“This is a historic moment,” Korean Animal Rights Advocates (KARA) said in a statement.

“It will open the door for more closures of dog meat slaughterhouses across the country, expediting the decline of the overall dog million dogs.”

The Taepyeong-dong complex – an important source of meat for restaurants across the country – housed at least six slaughterhouses, holding several hundred animals at a time.

3…………> A Blessed Thanksgiving: President Trump

“I hope that you’ll take solace in knowing that all of the American families you hold so close to your heart are all doing well. The nation’s doing well economically, better than anybody in the world,”

President Trump used a holiday call to troops deployed overseas to pat himself on the back, before telling reporters he was thankful for himself on Thanksgiving.

“You are our heroes,” he said, as club waiters worked to set Thanksgiving dinner tables on the outdoor terrace behind him.

Mr. Trump’s call, made from his private Mar-a-Lago club, struck a political tone as he spoke with members of all five branches of the military to wish them happy Thanksgiving.

4…………> Water, Give Me Water: China

The iconic Yellow River, the second-longest in Asia, is now a tenth of what it was in the 1940s, and often fails to reach the sea, while the “mother river” of Beijing — the Yongding — used to run long and wide. For centuries it was the lifeblood of the capital, but it has been scorched for more than 30 years.

A water crisis could be the biggest threat to China’s rise as a superpower, undercutting the growth and stability so prized by the Government, with most of the northern parts of the country suffers from acute water shortage.

The statistics are alarming: in the past 25 years, 28,000 rivers and waterways have disappeared across the country, and now the former Chinese premier Wen Jiabao has warned the lack of water threatened the very survival of the nation itself.

5…………> A Family Quarrel: Uncle George vs Nephew Mark

One of “Uncle” George Soros’s young men has called on US politicians to probe Facebook, claiming the company had smeared the philanthropist, adding “this needs independent, congressional oversight” following the social network confirmed that it had hired a PR firm to make claims about the financier. Facebook had directed the PR firm Definers to investigate Soros’s links to the “Freedom from Facebook” campaign, which is seeking the company’s break-up. Mr. Schrage added that related documents were then sent to journalists on Facebook’s behalf.

1…………> A Trump Win: DACA Illegal

Judge Roger W. Titus ruled the judges in California and New York who blocked the phaseout tried to substitute their own judgments for that of the Homeland Security Department, crossing constitutional lines in order to strike at Mr Trump’s policies, and went even further, praising the administration for the way it handled the situation with a six-month decision delay.

Ruling that the DACA program is legal, is doing little to solve the ongoing court quagmire and does not overturn two other federal courts, but it does offer a needed boost as the Justice Department appeals those other two rulings.

“This decision took control of a pell-mell situation and provided Congress — the branch of government charged with determining immigration policy — an opportunity to remedy it. Given the reasonable belief that DACA was unlawful, the decision to wind down DACA in an orderly manner was rational,” the judge wrote.

2…………> Trump’s ICE Broom: NM

Federal immigration agents arrested 23 people across New Mexico and west Texas on suspicion of being in the country illegally, as they served notices of employment audits to 131 businesses across the state and a swath of 18 counties in Texas over the past week when the arrests were made. Businesses are being given three days to provide hiring records that deal with employees’ immigration status.

Agency regional spokeswoman Nina Pruneda says three of the individuals face criminal charges related to illegal re-entry to the United States or firearm possession or both.

3…………> Back To Beria Poisons: UK

British spy aka retired Russian GRU(Russia Military Intelligence) Sergei Skripal, 66 – who was granted refuge in the UK in 2010 as part of a “spy swap” – and his 33-year-old daughter are critically ill in hospital, as police are trying to identify a substance which caused the former agent convicted of spying for Britain to collapse in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

The pair were found slumped unconscious on a bench at the Maltings shopping centre on Sunday with no visible injuries, and officers are investigating whether a crime had been committed.

Temporary Assistant Chief Constable Craig Holden said: “They are currently being treated for suspected exposure to an unknown substance…

“The focus is trying to establish what has caused these people to become critically ill.

“We are working with partners to prioritise this diagnosis and ensure that they receive the most appropriate and timely treatment.”

4…………> The “Fox” Un: Outwit “Shooter” Trump

North Korean leader Comrade Un has agreed to hold a landmark summit meeting with South Korea’s President next month, and impose a moratorium on nuclear and missile tests if his country holds talks with the United States. In
scheduled talks in late April when a 10-member South Korean delegation is to met with Kim Jong-un during a 2-day visit to Pyongyang, with two Koreas agreeing to hold their third-ever summit at a border village in late April.

He also said the leaders will establish a “hotline” communication channel to lower military tensions, and would speak together before the planned summit.

5…………> A “Family Quarrel”: Trump vs GOP Establishment

“No, we’re not backing down. We’ve had a very bad deal with Mexico, we’ve had a very bad deal with Canada — it’s called NAFTA,” Mr Trump said in the Oval Office, seated with visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as globalist clowns led by House Speaker Paul “Romney Jr.” Ryan and other congressional Establishment Republicans warned of a possible trade war.

Mr Trump insisted that he will impose tariffs on steel and aluminium imports, but indicated Canada and Mexico could be exempt if they renegotiate the NAFTA, despite fears that it may spark retaliation and a global trade war.
