2…………> Islamic Sheikdom Of France: Fire & Fury

3…………> Opposite Attract: Kushner & Bin Salman

“Bin Salman’s] initial approaches to the Palestinians were rejected by their leaders, and their resistance stiffened after the Trump administration recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital without waiting for a negotiated agreement on the city’s status. By the time of the inauguration Mr. Kushner was already arguing that under the influence of Prince Mohammed, Saudi Arabia could play a pivotal role in advancing a Middle East peace deal,” according to Time magazine.

“The relationship between Jared Kushner and Mohammed bin Salman constitutes the foundation of the [Donald] Trump policy not just toward Saudi Arabia, but toward the region,” CFR’s Martin Indyk suggested as the reason why the U.S. has become so close to Saudi Arabia.

After the White House had imposed restrictions on conversations that to Trump’s adviser and son-in-law, they were continuing their discussions, even in the aftermath of the killing of Jamal Khashoggi, reaching a point where they were on a first-name basis with one another.

4…………> Trump, Stay Away From France: Minister

“The Paris Agreement isn’t working out so well for Paris. Protests and riots all over France. People do not want to pay large sums of money, much to third world countries (that are questionably run), in order to maybe protect the environment,” President Trump remark regarding the mayhem in the Islamic Sheikdom of France drew the fury of Foreign Minister, Ayatollah Jean-Yves Le Drian who told him to mind his own business.

“I am telling Donald Trump … We don’t take part in the American debates, let us live our life of a nation. France doesn’t interfere in U.S. domestic politics, and Washington should do the same”, Ayatollah Drian told France 24.

According to a recent survey, 84% of the righteous believers — mostly from the middle-income group — support the protests against 20 % rise of fuel prices this year.

2…………> Caught “Red Handed”: Bin Salman

.

Using its network of clandestine sources, CIA developed a theory that the Saudi crown prince “believed Khashoggi was a dangerous Islamist who was too sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood”, hence ordered the killing of journalist, a conclusion supported by a call was between crown prince advisers Mutreb and Saud al-Qahtani to inform him the operation was complete.

The bloody incident created a delicate contradiction for the US, with rumors that “Trump has told senior White House officials that he wants Mohammed to remain in power because Saudi Arabia helps to check Iran, which the administration considers its top security challenge in the Middle East, [and] that he does not want the controversy over Khashoggi’s death to impede oil production by the kingdom.”

3…………> Let’s Talk: Mr.Xi To Trump

.

U.S. President Donald Trump said that China recently sent a list of compromises to reach a trade agreement. Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that further tariffs on Chinese goods may not be needed because “China wants to make a deal.”

“They sent a list of things that they’re willing to do, which was a large list,” he added.

Trump’s comments gave a boost to U.S. stocks with the Dow Jones finishing the day up more than 100 points, however, he remained committed to his longtime demand of “reciprocal trade” with China, which is responsible for a large part of the U.S.’s trade deficit. The U.S. posted a $376 billion deficit in goods with China last year, which is more than 66 percent of its total debt of $566 billion.

4…………> Paradise On Fire: California

.

The incident report provided by the utility company, Pacific Gas & Electric, shows that damage occurred at this time in a power line outside the small community of Pulga, an indication of the location of the spark that lit what became known as the Camp Fire.

The company warned a day earlier that it might turn off power in the area because of strong “Santa Ana” winds, but in the end, it decided not to do so “as weather conditions did not warrant this safety measure.”

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) reports that a wildfire has started outside Pulga, about three miles north-east of Paradise.

The staff at the “Adventist Health Feather River” Hospital in Paradise, about 25 miles from Pulga in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, were warned that the Camp Fire is getting close to town and that they should evacuate their patients.

5…………> Goats On A Tree: Morocco

.

Is this tree full of goats? The photo may look like it’s been edited, but this scene is quite common in southern Morocco, as they enjoy their craving for a tasty snack.

Their passion for the argan fruit has meant goats have learned to climb as high as (26 to 32.9 feet) up into the branches to reach it. Argan oil is a valuable export for Morocco. It’s sold in wealthier countries as pricey cosmetics and food. The oil generates more than $6.5 million (€5.7 million) per year for Morocco’s economy.

1…………> Putin To Trump: “We Are In Idlib”

Russian fighter jets attacked west of Idlib and north of Hama, bombing civilian residential areas in Jisr al-Shughur City; areas of Basanqul, Ghani, Innab, Sirmaniyah, west of Idlib; Zayzun area, north of Hama; as well as the Assad’s opposition’s frontlines.

Twenty attacks were carried out by three Russian warplanes, which took off from Hmeimim airbase. The attacks are continuing, with the number of casualties still unknown, and despite a stern warning by President  Trump.

He tweeted:

“President Bashar al-Assad of Syria must not recklessly attack Idlib Province. The Russians and Iranians would be making a grave humanitarian mistake to take part in this potential human tragedy. Hundreds of thousands of people could be killed. Don’t let that happen!”

Responding to Trump’s tweet, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said it was “necessary to deal with the problem” in Idlib.

“The situation in Idlib continues to be a topic of special concern in Moscow, Damascus, Ankara, and Tehran.” He said terrorists in the region were sending drones to Russian military bases posing “a significant threat”, he added.

2…………> Churchill’s Bungles: A Century Later

The current Trump administration’s diplomatic skirmish with Turkey is reminiscent of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s “bungles” during World War I which resulted in the Ottoman Empire joining the war on the side of Imperial Germany, according to a U.S. expert.

Martin Sieff, who worked as a senior correspondent for United Press International and The Washington Times for 24 years and also appeared on CNN, NPR, Fox News and BBC as a commentator, made the remarks in an article published on the U.S.-based Strategic Culture Foundation’s website.

“Today, Washington’s reckless and abusive policies towards Turkey are repeating the catastrophic bungles that Churchill inflicted more than a century ago. Repeating Churchill’s Bungles: Will US Drive Turkey into Joining the Shanghai Pact?” he wondered.

4…………> Hoarding Gold,Dumping Dollars: India

Due to the relentless US sanctions levied on countries around the world, and corresponding unwillingness to hold US dollar nominated securities due to fears of Forex market interventions, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), a major member of the BRICK Block purchased 8.46 metric tons of gold during the last fiscal year (April 2017 to March 2018).

In its annual report, the RBI revealed that it had 566.23 metric tons of gold as of June 30, 2018, compared to 557.77 metric tons in June 30, 2017, indicating that the bank had purchased gold for the first time since 2009 when it had acquired 200 metric tons of the precious metal following America’s sub-prime crisis.

“Diversification of India’s Foreign Currency Assets continued during the year [2017-18] with attention being ascribed to risk management, including cybersecurity risk. The gold portfolio has also been activated,” the report added.

5…………> Rio Museum Reduced To Ashes: Fire

The National Museum of Brazil, a cherished historical repository build in 1818 that lacked a sprinkler system and had suffered years of financial neglect, was destroyed by fire, sparking angry protests on the streets of Rio de Janeiro as police in riot gear shot tear gas into an angry crowd that tried to enter the site,

” The rumbling tensions reflect anger over the destruction  of the much-loved yet old museum, which suffered from declining federal funding. The museum’s decline did not happen overnight,” said Renato Rodriguez Cabral, a teacher in the geology and paleontology department.

“This was a tragedy foretold. Successive governments would not provide funds; they would not invest in infrastructure.”
